Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart. (Psalm 73:1)
LORD, please bring us to purity of heart so that we may see your goodness.
But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; my steps had nearly slipped. (Psalm 73:2)
I need only say, "I am slipping," and your love, Yahweh, immediately supports me, and in the middle of all my troubles you console me and make me happy. (Psalm 94:18 JB)
For I was envious of the boastful, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. (Psalm 73:3)
Jesus, please help me keep my attention on you and not walk after the way of the wicked.
But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all your works. (Psalm 73:28)
Father, you draw me to yourself by your Holy Spirit; thank you. I will put my trust in you and not be afraid. Please help me declare all that you have done for me.
***** A word received: Listen, listen my people for my word to you. Listen as you read scripture. Listen, listen to what I Am saying to you.
Keep praying for our Bishops and clergy for God's protection, provision and CLEAR guidance, strength, health and Lord's covering for their families. Pray the same for Standing Committee, Diocesan and Christ the King Spiritual Life Center staff, Fr. Nigel and Matt Baker.
Pray for Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams Rowan Williams and those who are planning the next Lambeth conferemce.
Cry out to the Lord for His church and his people.
(word received 10-12-06) Keep crying out to Me for My people. I AM grieving over their sin and blindness and hardness of heart. (Jer.2:13) "For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns -- broken cisterns that can hold no water." Pray for God's people to desire God's living waters and choose to dwell beside them.
(Bp. Bill-PDU) Please keep Mother Geri Bissell-Thompson in your prayers. She underwent major surgery, Thursday, Nov. 9th, in Burlington. I would also ask your continued prayers for Fr. Jeffrey Neuberger, a member of our Diocese, and chaplain in the Armed Forces, serving in Balad, Iraq.
This Saturday, Nov. 11th, there will be a Cursillo Re-union, beginning at 9a.m., at Christ the King SLC. (Pray for travel mercies and the Lord's presence.)
Cry out to the Lord for our country. Pray for Lord to raise up wise and godly statesmen (and women) to lead our country. Pray for protection and guidance for our military. Pray for a mighty revival in our nation and in our churches (including the Episcopal Church).
