Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! For his mercy endures forever. (Psalm 118:1)
Thank you, LORD, for your goodness and mercy.
Let Israel now say, "His mercy endures forever." (Psalm 118:2)
Jesus, please help the laity of the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Church of Canada know your mercy.
Let the house of Aaron now say, "His mercy endures forever." (Psalm 118:3)
Holy Father, please help the bishops, priests and deacons of the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Church of Canada know your mercy.
Let those who fear the LORD now say, "His mercy endures forever." (Psalm 118:4)
LORD, your mercy endures forever.
I called on the LORD in distress; the LORD answered me and set me in a broad place. (Psalm 118:5)
Thank you, LORD, that we can call on you at all times -- when the times are good and when they are evil.
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? (Psalm 118:6)
Thank you for Bishop Bill and all your faithful bishops, priests and deacons. Thank you for the way they point us to you, Jesus. Thank you that you are in charge, Lord, and for caring for us.
----------
Bishop Bill has asked us to pray 2 Chronicles 7:14. "If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." Make the commitment to pray this individually and as parishes.
The upcoming Canadian Synod is June 19 - 25 in Winnipeg.
----------
LORD, help us humble ourselves before you, pray and seek your face. Help us repent of any evil we are doing. We cast all our cares on you for you care for us.
***** Keep praying for Bishop Bill and all faithful bishops, clergy and lay leaders in our diocese and in the Episcopal Church.
Pray for peace, strength, and clear guidance to know and do the Lord's will step by step.
Cry out to the Lord for His Church. He is still Lord.
Keep praying the prayer from 2 Chronicles 7:14 for ourselves and all the churches in the United States (not just the Episcopal Church).
Pray for God to open the eyes of those revisionists who, as St. Paul said, think they are doing God's will, "but not according to knowledge".
Keep praying for our parish, the Diocese, the Christ the King Spiritual Life Center, the Sisters of St. Mary (pray that the Holy Spirit will raise up vocations to their order).
***** Dear Sister Mary Angela & All Faithfull Prayer,
I am sorry that I have not been able to keep you updated as before, but will try harder to do so. We are holding a Fund Raiser tomorrow for Fr. Dan, and this has kept me away from the computer more then normal.
Fr. Dan is doing good, progress at this time may be slowing down, but he is still gaining. The problem he was having with his water works has healed itself "Thanks Be To God" and the power of our prayers to him.
He is doing extencive therapy, three times a week, and is now going only with a cane outside the home, and without none inside. His voice is getting stonger each day and I know that before long it will return to normal. The therapist has tryed to have him jump off the first step of a set of stairs, but his brain is telling him, why jump- it's sort of like jumping out of a plane, if it's not going down why jump, why no simply stay inside and enjoy the ride-- after all it's a perfectly good plane.
The same it seems with running, the rehab. center has a unit that keeps him from falling, it goes around him on all sides. His asked to run- but Father can't yet get him feet to go into the running mode-- it's like his brain is saying- Dan why run, we've got all the time we need, so let's just walk and enjoy this second chance at life God has given.
If there is anything that we need to pray about more then his general recovery, I would say it might be his short term memory. So let us focus our prayers there.
God will restore Father's health to it's fullest I know.
May the Lord be with you Sister Mary Angela, and with all of you who continue to pray and, help in so many ways, for Fr. Dan and Pat, but more then just this for all that you do in helping anyone who is in need.
In Love and Faith, Dcn. Greg
