O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your possessions-- (Psalm 104:24)
LORD, the earth and everything in it is your; give us a reverence for your creation.
This great and wide sea, in which are innumerable teeming things, living things both small and great. (Psalm 104:25)
Holy Spirit, teach the peoples of the earth that we are stewards (not owners) of the earth; help us repent of pillaging the earth and destroying your creation.
There the ships sail about; there is that Leviathan which you have made to play there. (Psalm 104:26)
Holy Spirit, help us take joy in your creation.
These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season. (Psalm 104:27)
Lord Jesus, many are going hungry as their incomes and resources collapse in this economic crisis; please give them their food in due season.
What you give them they gather in; you open your hand, they are filled with good. (Psalm 104:28 )
Jesus, please open your hand and provide for your people.
You hide your face, they are troubled; you take away their breath, they die and return to their dust. (Psalm 104:29)
Jesus, you have hidden your face from many in the Episcopal Church; if you take away the breath of your Holy Spirit they will die in sin.
You send forth your Spirit, they are created; and you renew the face of the earth. (Psalm 104:30)
Lord, renew in our day the wonders of your Pentecost. (John XXIII) Out of the dead ashes of the Episcopal Church recreate and renew it. We pray that your glory will endure forever and that you will rejoice again in your works. (From Psalm 104:31)
A word received: Keep your attention on me.
