Prayer Table Report, #7 Christ Church Coxsackie
Date: March 21st, 2009 11:30-12:30. Weather: a warm 34 degrees, sunny with a slight breeze. Location: Hope Plaza, West Coxsackie, between the Grand Union and Hoernings Pharmacy. Prayer Ministers: Rev. Nina George-Hacker, John Grayshaw, Carol Starkweather. We called out a greeting to everyone who came within hearing range, and asked if they needed prayer. If not, we said, "God bless you," and "Have a wonderful day." (And then prayed for them, silently.)
+ indicates received a free cross necklace (made by Dennis Adams, NC)

G indicates received a Gospel Tract

(Note: Since this is a small community, we do not record names.)

Young Woman: Asked for prayer for herself, for strength as a mom. Nina led as we prayed with her. We also prayed for each of her 3 Children (two with her, one at home.). Took 4 crosses, 2 adult 2 child.

Young Woman: Asked for prayer "In General". Carol prayed for her.

Middle Aged Woman: Nina prayed with her for her husband, just released from the hospital (Pulmunary Fibrosis), and for their son.

Young Woman: Asked for prayer for her husband who has cancer. We prayed together amongst ourselves.

Young Woman with Child: Asked for prayer for her son, who has Pink Eye. John and Carol prayed for healing for the little boy, and strength for the mother. Nina offered a cross to the boy, which he accepted.

Young Man: "Everything's going really well" so we prayed prayers of Thanksgiving, and for him to look to God for any areas in which he might still need help

Couple we see every Saturday: Have so far always ignored us. This morning, the husband responded in kind to our "good morning!".

Older Man: "Not Right now"

Elderly Woman: Asked for prayer for a job for her grandson (so she could stop worrying about him), and for continued good health. Carol led prayer for her requests. Nina drew her out in conversation, and it became apparent that she was having some issues with her memory. After she left us to go into the drug store, we prayed together amongst ourselves for her, her memory, her family, her safety on the road and by herself.

Older Lady: "Not today-I've got too much I've got to get done"

Middle Aged Woman: Asked for prayer for her brother-in-law who recently had a stroke.

Young Man: "No, I'm sorry"

Young Man: Asked for prayer for a job. We all prayed together for him.
