6/18/2009, #79, 2nd Quarter 2009

I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. (Psalm 34:1)
LORD, I bless you. Holy Spirit, please fill my mouth with the praises of Jesus.

My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; the humble shall hear of it and be glad. (Psalm 34:2)
Father, please help me boast of what you have done, not what I have done. Bring me to a place of humility where I can hear and see what you are doing.

Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. (Psalm 34:3)
Jesus, please help us bring honor and glory to you and praise to your name.

I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. (Psalm 34:4)
Father, thank you for hearing our prayers and delivering us from fear.

They looked to him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed. (Psalm 34:5)
Jesus, we pray for our deputation to the General Convention -- that your love will shine forth from them.

A word received: Wait for me. I AM with you. Look to me. I AM faithful.

The Rt. Rev. David Pitches. Revival at St. Johns Chorelywood. Founder New Wine.
Christian Military representatives from 30 countries. Including Russia, and Mongolia!

Highlights:
Chorleywood: A walk with J. John before the healing service. Went to his offices. He pointed at the world map and said, "This is my parish" I was amazed at the size of his ministry. Went to supermarket, woman dropped an avocado on my foot. She was so embarrassed and said she was having a bad day. I told her it would get better, come to the healing service tonight! Then bumped into Sarah the wife of Admiral Alan Richards who works with the Royal Navy and Royal Marines finances, through her gave him by book. He is very interested in the Welcome Home Initiative. He called me and we had a good talk. The healing service at Christ Church Chorleywood was amazing. Full church wonderful music. Met Andrew White the vicar of Bagdad.

Sweden: Flew to Stockholm with my sister Julie Sheldon to pray for Ulf. I have to say I was deeply moved in meeting him. I had a good weep. So much went on. Julie and I led a talk for the pastor's church in the evening and then the next day went to Ulf's house and prayed for a couple of hours for him. The immediate outcome was the fact that his feet and hands became warm. They have been cold for years. Evidence of new blood circulation. We were given books on the history of Ulf, who has been deaf since he was 2 from viral meningitis and has had Dystonia since he was 14. He is now 45. At 17 he jumped out of a 3rd floor window because he was being teased at school about his feet that, at this stage had turned inwards. He looked so young. The book we were given has many blank pages on it to record the progress of Ulf's healing.

St Marks Batersea Rise: About 50 chairs were put out.. 168 came. There was a major football game on TV: Manchester United Vs Real Madrid but many men came. I asked the woman to applaud them! They did, with cheers…. Had a word of knowledge, about toes, very specific toes. One woman stepped over and through the chairs, pushing her way forward. Two more followed. The first woman was so keen to get prayer. Her daughter was sitting next to my sister Annie Topping and told her that she was VERY surprised that she was coming forward as she is not a believer. I was about to pray for the three ladies when a man pushed in front of me between the first woman. I could smell alcohol. I asked him are you drunk? He said yes. I asked him are you an alcoholic, he said yes. I asked him if he knew Bill W, he said no. We prayed for him. He wept… I found out the next day that the first woman up who crashed through the chairs was also an alcoholic…The Lord put the first alcoholic between her and me… thanks be to God. There was so much enthusiasm at St Marks for healing.

The Collage of St. Barnabas: a retirement community for Anglican Clergy. My father introduced me to The Rev. Dr. John Stott. I have to say going into his hospital room was rather like going into the cell of a saint. I had the privilege of laying my hands on John. It was certainly a very Godly moment in my life.

AMCF Military conference, High Leigh: 30 countries represented. Pentecost Sunday, we all said the Lords prayer in 30 different languages… I wept and could not get through it. To watch Russian miliitary praising God… with there arms raised… I wept ag again. I gave two workshops on healing and PTSD and so many individual sessions I lost count. It was such a privilege. Brother Yun made a very passionate presentation… very powerful, translated just as passionately be a German Pastor. If you have not read "The Heavenly Man" I strongly recommend it. I met with Gen. Sir Richard Dannett and we spoke about the Welcome Home Initiative. The UK will be doing a similar program called "Warriors Return" The UK are sending 2 people over to monitor the WHI before they run the Warriors Return. There is so much I would like to write about on this but due to individual and national confidences it would not be right to do so. Fill in the blanks.

The diocesan convention: Led one and a half workshops and a very well attended healing service. The Holy Spirit was moving with power… we are having very good feed back from the healing service, thanks be to God. Bishop Alpha from Africa was very enthusiastic with heart felt positive comments.

The Rockies: Lynn, my wife's family reunion. What fun. Gold mines, family fun etc. It was a very brief but good break. Being at nearly 12,000 feet was interesting… headaches and no stamina at all never had slight altitude sickness before….What a powerful reminder that I need to loose weight! The place is beautiful and reminded me of Switzerland.

Lisbon Falls, Maine: The Rev Wagner. Many people came for the healing service. Many words of knowledge. It was a powerful time, the Lord moving with power and love. Such nice people. Had a very long chat to the owner of the hotel I was staying in. She is a Christian, had a word of knowledge to quantify the healing ministry!

Hulls Cove (Bar Harbor) Maine: The Rev. Chuck Bradshaw. So good to see Cadillac mountain and Bar Harbor again. What a beautiful place it is. Full on healing mission. Eleven denominations represented. A Very powerful time with the Lord. Powerful music ministry. Preached on Sunday at the Church of Our Father at the 7.30am and 9am services. The Holy Sprit moving so much… so much love, the people were amazing. Many men and woman weeping at the end of both services at the narthex. The Holy Spirit touched many; Me too! I travel a lot and see a soup de jour in sickness in many cities and towns. BC for example; bad necks. I noticed in Maine that many people had missing fingers.. I have not noticed that in farming communities. Perhaps it is a fishing/lobster hazard. I spoke to one of our diocese clergy who was a vicar in a fishing village. He confirmed what I said and noted that he had not thought about the fact that indeed many fishermen have lost digits. I noticed it in shaking hands and in the giving of the Holy Eucharist. Just an interesting observation.

Conclusion: There is a colloquial Maine saying, "You can't get there from here!" well I had to go to two countries, a diocese convention, Keystone Colorado and Boston Mass to get to Maine… I think that saying is true! At the end of this mammoth trip I conclude that Jesus is STILL in the business of healing and that He is the same yesterday, today and forever. I am emotionally and physical drained… but will be fine in a few days. I am so at peace in knowing that the work in the vineyard is so covered by the Lord. I am drained and bone tired but feel so blessed. God is good all the time. In fact, God is Brilliant all the time.

It is indeed such a privilege to "Preach the Kingdom and heal the sick" Luke 9:2 as a representative of the diocese of Albany.

God bless you and thank you for reading this report and for praying for this ministry.

Fr. Nigel+, 16th June 2009

Albany Intercessor
