Prayer Table Reports
Christ Church Schenectady Prayer Table report June 20, 9:25-10:30AM Howard Smith and Don Foust
+--indicates received wooden cross made by Dennis Adams of North Carolina.
+ Ryan--Asked for discernment. Many new changes in his life. Prayers for his girlfriend and for a good summer.
+Bob--Prayers for his family.
Lydia (regular)--Prayers for family.
Gerald--Stopped by the Table last week. Got a new job. Prayers of thanksgiving. "Thank you".
+Robert--A very confused young man. Robert has stopped by the Table several times. He is highly educated, but is still searching for meaning in his life. Robert has trouble with relationships, he has problems trusting others. He said he is considering suicide to end his problems. We told him suicide is not God's plan for him. Robert can not discern God's voice from that of Satan. During this time, his girlfriend Sharon stopped at the table. A dispute erupted between the two, and we separated Robert and Sharon. Sharon believes Robert is schizophenic and is trying to get help for him, but Robert is turning his anger toward her. After several minutes, we re-united the couple and together we all prayed for understanding and for listening to God in times of difficulty
+Mike--Prayed for family. Mike is seeking a deeper knowledge of God. Mike was raised as a Pentacostal and has started re-reading the Bible. He has started reading Revelation and the Acts of the Apostles. Mike is very confused. We prayed for discernment. Suggested that he read the Gospel of John.
+Andrew--Prayed for his father (Edward).
+Keyona--Prayed for her children Cecil and Jaquez. Both are disabled. She then told use she had just seen a man die on Emmett Street. The man was bloodied from being stabbed; the police and para-medics could not revive him. We prayed for God's peace in her life following this event and for an end to violence in the Neighborhood.
+Tyshawn and +Monette (brother and sister)--These children stopped by the Table last week. Prayed for their mother and baby sister. Reminded them to say their prayers before they go to bed at night.
