4/24/2010, #32, 2nd Quarter 2010

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. (Colossians 3:1)
Father, please help us seek your heavenly Jerusalem; raise us to new life in Jesus through the power of your Holy Spirit. Thank you.

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. (Colossians 3:2)
Holy Spirit, please help us meditate on:
            whatever things are true,
            whatever things are noble,
            whatever things are just,
            whatever things are pure,
            whatever things are lovely,
whatever things are of good report,
whatever things are of any virtue and praiseworthy
Help us hold fast to the things which we have learned and received and heard and saw in the apostolic faith. Help us daily do these things and enter into your peace. (From Philippians 4:8-9)

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (Colossians 3:3)
Jesus, help us put to death in our lives the old Adam, and help us put on our new life in you.

When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. (Colossians 3:4)
Father, please show forth the glory of Jesus at the Diocesan Convention. Help us seek his glory and his peace.

Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. (Colossians 3:5-7)
Jesus, help us make a new beginning in you; help us take up our cross and follow you. Thank you.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. (Colossians 3:15)
LORD, let your peace rule in our hearts, and help us daily pour forth thanksgiving for all that you have done for us and for the Body of Christ in this diocese. Thank you.

Saturday: 42, 43; Exodus 25:1-22; Colossians 3:1-17; Matthew 4:18-25
