12/28/2010, #89, 4th Quarter 2010

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, take the young child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him." (Matthew 2:13)
Father, send your angels to us to tell us what and when to flee from that would harm our families.

When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night and departed for Egypt, (Matthew 2:14)
Holy Spirit, guide us in removing our children and grandchildren from harmful situations.

and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, "Out of Egypt I called my son." (Matthew 2:15)
Jesus, thank you for your words through the prophets -- help us heed them day by day.

Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men. (Matthew 2:16)
Father, there is still a daily slaughter of the children by the abortion clinics in this country -- have mercy on us. Have mercy on the children that are caught up in the foster care system and are being destroyed by it.

Then was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying: "A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, refusing to be comforted, because they are no more." (Matthew 2:17-18 )
Father, help us have your father's heart towards the children among us and help us grieve over the children who are being destroyed among us. Help us have the mind of your Holy Spirit about this.

A word received: Come to me. Make the choice to come to me each day. Listen to me; heed my words to you.

Dear Friends in Christ,
Thank you for your generosity in sending along your prayers and $ in support of KishKush and her recovery. I just got off the phone with Yoel, and he has informed me that she is coming out of hospital very shortly. This is wonderful news.
I have passed on all of your offers and love to KK via Yoel. Once she is out there will be some serious security screening of news about her I imagine. I will keep you all informed as I am.
Yours in Christ, Peter+
