1/17/2012, #17, 1st Quarter 2012

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
Father, I confess that I have been too casual about your love and the cost for you personally in watching your son die on the cross. Please forgive me.

"For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:17)
Father, your heart's desire is my salvation and not my condemnation. Help me respond to your love and care for me.

"He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:18 )
      Change My Heart Oh God

      Change my heart oh God
      Make it ever true
      Change my heart oh God
      May I be like You

      Change my heart oh God
      Make it ever true
      Change my heart oh God
      May I be like You

      You are the potter
      I am the clay
      Mold me and make me
      This is what I pray

      Change my heart oh God
      Make it ever true
      Change my heart oh God
      May I be like You

"And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil." (John 3:19)
Jesus, please help me take each step by your light. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105)

"For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed." (John 3:20)
Jesus, help me bring my sins to the light and make a good confession.

"But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God." (John 3:21)
Father, please help me so that my deeds are done in you. Thank you.

A word received: Keep looking to me.

Listen to the silence now and again. Go on, really listen. What is the silence saying? Seek some silence today and listen to what the Lord is saying to you in that silence. Revelation 8: 1 writes: When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
