I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. (1 John 2:12)
Jesus, thank you for your cross and resurrection and sending of our Holy Spirit to us so than our sins could be forgiven because of your great love for us.
I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. (1 John 2:13a)
Holy Spirit, help every father in this diocese know Jesus.
I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one. (1 John 2:13b)
Father, please help the young men of the diocese and those who live in the inner city who have never known a father's love and character overcome the tempter and become the fathers you desire them to be.
I write to you, little children, because you have known the Father. (1 John 2:13c)
Jesus, help every child in this diocese and especially all those who have never known a father's love know your Father's love.
I have written to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. (1 John 2:14a)
Jesus, please help the fathers of this diocese come to know you so that they can know your Father's love.
I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one. (1 John 2:14b)
Holy Spirit, help the young men of this diocese become role models for the youth of this diocese and lead them into a saving knowledge of God the Father's love for them. Help the young men of this diocese overcome the wicked one. Thank you.

A word received: Urge people to read the whole story of Elijah (1 Kings 17:1-2 Kings 2:35) and then read this psalm (Psalm 27) " in light of that story. Ask yourself, "How was I light and salvation to Elijah? How have I been light and salvation to you?

Subject: Daily quote...
We are designed to cry. So many people apologize to me when they weep. Tears are natural and normal. So many say, "I am afraid to cry because if I start, I fear that I will not be able to stop." When tested, tears of joy and tears of sadness show different chemical make up as toxins are released. Women in Jesus time wore tear bottles, they would collect tears. Some even say that Mary washed Jesus feet with tears from her tear bottle. "Jesus wept. " The shortest verse in the bible is found in John 11:45 in reference to his emotions regarding Lazarus. Shedding a tear is good for the soul. P.S. Grown men do cry!
***** On Friday, February 17 at 7 pm, St. Michael's Church (49 Killean Park, Colonie) will celebrate our monthly Prayer & Praise Worship Service. Contemporary Praise and Worship music will be offered by Ryan Haig, Brooke Bernthon and Mark Kelso. The preacher will be Rev. Lorrie Lyons.
This is a very relaxed service. Come when you can and stay as long as the Lord leads. If you have a heart for revival and/or desire a deeper relationship with the Lord please plan to attend.
We hope to see you there, and bring a friend! If you have never been to one of these services please plan to attend if you are available. These services are always a powerful time with the Lord and we promise you will be blessed!
