9/18/2013, #67, 3rd Quarter 2013

And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then he said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." They immediately left their nets and followed him. Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed him. (Matthew 4:18-22)
Then he said to them, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. (Luke 10:2) Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me." (Isaiah 6:8 ) Lord, I pray that you will send more laborers out into the harvest fields. Here am I, send me.

Jesus, please help each of us in this diocese answer your call to follow you. Set us free from our fears and help us reach out with the gospel of peace to those we meet. Thank you.

A word received: I AM the way, walk in it.

The workshop will begin with Morning Prayer at 9:15 am. Cost for the workshop is $10, which includes lunch.
