10/11/2013, #9, 4th Quarter 2013
Jesus, we remember before you today your suffering church and those who will die or be tortured for the sake of your name. Have mercy on them and give them strength to endure to the end.
Surely at the commandment of the LORD this came upon Judah, to remove them from his sight because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done, and also because of the innocent blood that he had shed; for he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, which the LORD would not pardon. (2 Kings 24:3-4)
Father, have mercy on us; for each day innocent blood is shed in this land and the slaughter of the innocents continues through unrestricted abortions.
If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Holy Spirit, please help your people who are named with the name of Christ Jesus to humble themselves and pray and seek his face and repent of our wicked ways, so that our land will be healed and our sins forgiven. Thank you.
Friday: 140, 142 * 141, 143:1-11(12); 2 Kings 23:36-24:17; 1 Cor. 12:12-26; Matt. 9:27-34
Saturday: 137:1-6(7-9), 144 * 104; Jer. 35:1-19; 1 Cor. 12:27-13:3; Matt. 9:35-10:4
