11/21/2013, #46, 4th Quarter 2013
Holy Spirit, bring me to that on-going conversion of life that is the mark of a true disciple. Help us enter that adoption that you desire for us as true sons of our Father in heaven. (See Romans 8:15, Ephesians 1:5, and Galatians 4:5)
Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:4)
Jesus, please give me a heart like yours: a servant's heart, the heart of an obedient child.
Whoever receives one little child like this in my name receives me. (Matthew 18:5)
Jesus, help us receive all of the children you send us.
"But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes! (Matthew 18:6-7)
Father, I pray for the defeat of all those who cause your little ones to stumble. Send your servant Michael the Archangel to do battle with those who use children in the sex trade and all those who lead children into drugs and infest children with false teaching.
If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire. (Matthew 18:8-9)
Holy Spirit, help me cut off and cast away anything that offends you and stands in the way of my salvation. Thank you.
Oh, give thanks to the LORD! (Psalm 105:1a)
Call upon his name; (Psalm 105:1b)
Make known his deeds among the peoples! (Psalm 105:1c)
Sing to him, sing psalms to him; (Psalm 105:2a)
Talk of all his wondrous works! (Psalm 105:2b)
Glory in his holy name; (Psalm 105:3a)
Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD! (Psalm 105:3b)
Seek the LORD and his strength; (Psalm 105:4a)
Seek his face evermore! (Psalm 105:4b)
Remember his marvelous works which he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth, (Psalm 105:5)
LORD, please help me to do these things so that I may live in your presence and be with you forever.
A word received: Pray for both my justice and my mercy.

***** Thursday, November 21, 2013 7:42 AM, Prayer Request from Deacon Polly
I ask that you put me and my family on your prayer list for the next couple of weeks, my job is possibly being terminated due to funding cuts. I have worked the last 10 years with the homeless, addicted and mental ill as their case manager. I help them find housing, food, jobs, medical care, education and so much more. We are of course funded by the state and government and the funding is gone. Please pray for them as well as myself as it will be hard to start all over again and the jobs are far and few. polly
