11/7/2013, #33, 4th Quarter 2013
Holy Spirit, please help us daily keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Bless us with the patience of the saints -- help us daily wait on Jesus and his timing.
Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, "Write: 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.' " "Yes," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them." (Revelation 14:13)
Jesus, grant to your people a peaceful death and a quiet end in you. On that day grant that we may find rest from our labors and eternal rest in you. Thank you.
Do not cast me off in the time of old age; Do not forsake me when my strength fails. (Psalm 71:9)
Father, I look to you to complete in me the work you have begun through your son Jesus and your Holy Spirit. Amen.
A word received: Pray without ceasing.
