12/15/2013, #68, 4th Quarter 2013
Lord Jesus Christ, we long for the day of your coming again. Help us by your Holy Spirit to wait patiently for that day. Rain down on us your Holy Spirit so that he may produce his precious fruit in us.
You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. (James 5:8 )
Father, please help us gain patient endurance as we wait for the coming of the Lord.
Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! (James 5:9)
Holy Spirit, set us free from grumbling and back-biting. Help each of us know that Jesus, our judge, is standing at the door.
My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience. (James 5:10)
Father, help us take to heart the suffering of your servants and find in them examples of courage to go forth in the harvest fields.
Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord--that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful. (James 5:11)
Jesus, please help us daily recall your compassion and mercy toward us. Help us in all the afflictions of life to declare, as Job did, "I know that my redeemer lives, and he shall stand at last on the earth; and after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not as a stranger. How my heart yearns within me!" (Job 19:25-27) Thank you.
The LORD opens the eyes of the blind; the LORD raises those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous. (Psalm 146:8 )
LORD, open our eyes to your work, open our ears to your word, raise up those who are burdened, and help us love your righteousness.
The LORD watches over the strangers; he relieves the fatherless and widow; but the way of the wicked he turns upside down. (Psalm 146:9)
Father, please help us watch over the aliens and strangers among us, the fatherless, and the widow. We long to see the ways of the wicked turned upside down.
The LORD shall reign forever-- your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD! (Psalm 146:10)
Jesus, rule and reign in our hearts forever and in the generations of our children and grandchildren and theirs. Praise you now and forever!
A word received: Praise me in all circumstances.

***** Jeanne Gizara, Sat, Dec 14, 2013, Mudge Scripture Prayer
May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:5-6)
Lord, we pray this prayer for all the people in Belize who are part of Father Mudge’s on-line theological program, for all of those in the ordination process, and Bishop Philip and all the clergy in the diocese of Belize. May the God of endurance grant them to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus that together they may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (Romans 15: 13)

I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another. (Romans 15:14)
As Paul was satisfied with his brothers in Rome, we pray that You, Father, are satisfied with Father Shaw and Bishop Philip and all involved with Father Shaw’s mission, that they are filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another and also to instruct the people that are seeking You. Amen.
