1/30/2014, #25, 1st Quarter 2014

I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and my judgment is righteous, because I do not seek my own will but the will of the Father who sent me. (John 5:30)
Jesus, please help us to be true disciples who listen to the Father as you do. Help us lay aside all judgment of others and wait for the discernment that comes from your Holy Spirit. Father, please help us seek your will as Jesus did. Thank you, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of me. (John 5:39)
Holy Spirit, help the Scriptures lead us to Jesus. Help us go deeper with him. Thank you

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! For his mercy endures forever. (Psalm 118:1)
LORD, thank you for your enduring mercy and goodness.

A word received: Give your life to me; I gave my life for you.

***** PRAYER TABLE REPORT ST. ANN'S OF AMSTERDAM (Monday, Jan. 27, 2014; 10-10:45 a.m. Absolutely the worst weather day we have ever had trying to host His prayer table. It was only 14 degrees with a snow squall and heavy wind forcing us to the porch of our church (instead of the sidewalk in front of the church) and even then the snow and wind wreaked havoc. The cloth table cover kept blowing off the table and our supply of winter clothes and non-perishable food was getting wet despite our efforts to keep it dry. On top of all that, hardly anyone was out and about.)

a-- anointed with Holy Oil.
f -- received free non-perishable food we offer.
c -- received free winter clothing we offer.

a,f,c -- REBECCA -- She asked for prayer for her injured and painful knee. She is seeing a surgeon on Wednesday and may need surgery soon. Also, we asked for prayer for her sister LISA, who recently lost the baby she was carrying. Lord, please bring some peace to this family.

f,c -- DAVID --- He took food and clothing for some needy friends of his and asked for prayer to remain strong in what has been a tough winter for him.

MAN WALKING BY -- Waved and shouted out "God bless you" to us but declined prayer.
