1/3/2014, #3, 1st Quarter 2014

Now when evening came, his disciples went down to the sea, got into the boat, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was already dark, and Jesus had not come to them. Then the sea arose because a great wind was blowing. So when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid. But he said to them, "It is I; do not be afraid." Then they willingly received him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going. (John 6:16-21)
Holy Spirit, please help us willingly receive Jesus into all the storms of our lives

Jesus, thank you for the assurance you give us in the midst of the storm: "It is I; do not be afraid."

Father, the way forward is dark and stormy, let the light of Jesus guide us to a safe shore. Thank you.

And when they found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him, "Rabbi, when did you come here?" Jesus answered them and said, "Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set his seal on him." (John 6:25-27)
Jesus, please help us labor for things eternal.

A word received: I AM the light of the world. Turn to me when all else is dark.

Subject: Praise report from NY - Thanks for your part in it...
Many thanks to all of you who were praying that our daughter, Marna, and granddaughter, Paige, would be able to make it to the Healing Service for prayer...It was quite a long drive in inclement weather and there were many uncertainties when I begged your prayers.
Gratefully, Marna, called us last night reporting that she and Paige were able to get to the Healing Service over which Nigel+ presided last Monday morning at Christ Ep. Church, Ballston Spa NY. The prayers were a great blessing for them. Paige also asked prayers for her thoroughbred, Kat, who has suffered from Lyme’s disease. Nigel+ anointed Paige’s hands and told her to go and lay hands on Kat and pray for his healing which she did. The swelling in his hock went down forthwith – much to the surprise of the lady with whom they board Kat.
Further, Nigel+ has offered to go with them and pray again over Kat before he and Lynn leave for their new home in VA Beach on January 9th. He is the most amazingly humble and generous prayer warrior I have ever known!
We are thanking the Lord SO much for Nigel+ and his wife Lynn!

Dear supporters of the Toliara Primary School. We are making progress and we will dedicate the school in March!! There should be a picture attached to last email.
Ed

A note from Bp Todd:

I went by Mahaboboka on December 15 and saw the school. It is coming along and nearly finished. My guess it should be completed by end of January.

The roof was nearly complete except for three years of it. The windows are all finished. The floor and walls are finished. I think they need to put the doors in. We have placed an order for the desks and chairs. I'm assuming that will be done by the end of January.

Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera with me when I went to Sakaraha. But dean Noely did and he took pictures but he hasn't sent them to me yet.

I'm guessing we will be looking at a March dedication. Maybe the 16th or the 23rd? Which one works better for you?
