LORD, you are my joy and I delight in what you do. I praise you for your faithfulness and kindness to me.
Praise the LORD with the harp; make melody to him with an instrument of ten strings. (Psalm 33:2)
Father, you have not given me the ability to carry a tune or play an instrument, but I will still praise you.
Sing to him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy. (Psalm 33:3)
Jesus, please help me to sing to you with joy, whether I am in tune or not.
For the word of the LORD is right, and all his work is done in truth. (Psalm 33:4)
Holy Spirit, wirte your word onmy heart and fill me to overflowing with your truth and righteousness. Thank you for your mighty works that you have let me see.
He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD. (Psalm 33:5)
Father, help us love what you love. Help me to be a faithful witness to your goodness and love. Thank you.
Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his mercy, to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. (Psalm 33:18-19)
Holy Trinity, One God, we hold you in awe and reverence. We trust you to carry us through every famine. You have done so in the past and we trust you for the future.
Our soul waits for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. (Psalm 33:20)
Jesus, we wait on you and your timing. Our times are in your hand (see Psalm 31:15) and we are content to leave them there.
A word received: Let me change you as I changed Jacob.
