Jesus, please help me find my consolation in you.
if any comfort of love, (Philippians 2:1b)
Father, thank you for the comfort of resting in your arms of love.
if any fellowship of the Spirit, (Philippians 2:1c)
Holy Spirit, thank you for the fellowship and friendship we find in you.
if any affection and mercy, (Philippians 2:1d)
Holy Trinity, One God, help me daily join in that affection and mercy that you share with one another.
fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. (Philippians 2:2)
Help me daily, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, fulfill the joy of that great cloud of witnesses that surround us. Thank you for Paul's life and ministry. Thank you for all those who have gone before us in the faith.
Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. (Philippians 2:3)
Help us treasure every brother and sister you send to us, Jesus.
Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. (Philippians 2:4)
Father, please help us show forth your love, justice and mercy by seeking the welfare of all you send to us.
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, (Philippians 2:5)
Holy Spirit, help us have the mind of Christ. Thank you.
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for his good pleasure. (Philippians 2:12-13)
LORD God, thank you for working out your good pleasure in our lives. Help us daily work out our salvation with fear and trembling and be faithful to the apostolic witness you have given us.
Do all things without complaining and disputing, (Philippians 2:14)
Holy Spirit, please help me repent of complaining and disputing.
A word received: Give me your pain and suffering.
