5/10/2014, #21, 2nd Quarter 2014

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. (Colossians 3:1)
Jesus, please help me seek you day by day.

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. (Colossians 3:2)
Holy Spirit, renew my mind and my thoughts.

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (Colossians 3:3)
Father, please help me die to myself and my earthly desires and enter fully into my new life hidden in Jesus.

When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. (Colossians 3:4)
Lord, I long to see you in your glory.

Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. (Colossians 3:5)
Holy Spirit, help me put these things to death.

Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. (Colossians 3:6-7)
Father, help us truly repent before your wrath comes upon us and we become like Sodom and Gomorrah.

But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. (Colossians 3:8-11)
LORD, cleanse my heart and my lips.

And there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the Testimony, about everything which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel. (Exodus 25:22)
Father, please help us come to the mercy seat and find forgiveness for our sins.

A word received: Look to me.
