8/30/2014, #16, 3rd Quarter 2014
Jesus, please help me by your Holy Spirit to follow you day by day so that I may walk in your light. The surrounding darkness presses in on me. I need your light of life. Thank you.
When they heard these things they became silent; and they glorified God, saying, "Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life." (Acts 11:18 )
God, bring me also to that daily repentance that leads to life. Thank you.
I love the LORD, because he has heard my voice and my supplications. (Psalm 116:1)
Thank you, Father, for hearing me.
Because he has inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call upon him as long as I live. (Psalm 116:2)
Father, because of what you have done and are doing, I call upon your for your help. Thank you.
WORD: Seek out my light to walk in.

***** Mudge Scripture Prayer by Jeanne Gizara
Again Jesus spoke to the' saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (John 8:12)
Precious Jesus, Light of the World, we thank You for coming into the world to bring your light, for dying for our sins, and for the great promise of the resurrection: eternal life for all who believe in You.
We thank You that You keep Father Shaw Mudge in your light, that You guide him every step of the way as he pursues his ministry to the diocese in Belize. Today we pray especially for the new course on Anglican history, as Father Shaw begins to present this subject to his students.
We also pray for the sale of the home in Wynantskill, for preparation for his trip to Belize next month, for the students who are to be ordained, and for Mother Julie and Lydia in all that they do for You.
To You be the glory, Jesus. Amen.
