Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death." John 8:51 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me keep your word.

And the people kept shouting, "The voice of a god and not of a man!" Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died. Acts 12:22-23 (NKJV)
Lord, protect our leaders from the deception of praise.

But the word of God grew and multiplied. Acts 12:24 (NKJV)
LORD, let your word grow and multiply among us.

"Man who is born of woman is of few days and full of trouble. Job 14:1 (NKJV)
Lord, you know my days and my troubles; have mercy on me.

Since his days are determined, the number of his months is with You; You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass. Job 14:5 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me accept the limits you have placed on my life.

LORD, remember David And all his afflictions; how he swore to the LORD, and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob: "Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house, or go up to the comfort of my bed; I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, until I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob." Psalm 132:1-5 (NKJV)
Father, please help me keep striving until I find a permanent place in my heart for Jesus.

Behold, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, who by night stand in the house of the LORD! Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD. Psalm 134:1-2 (NKJV)
LORD, help me lift up my hands and bless you.

They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can you say, 'You will be made free'?" John 8:33 (NKJV)
      Lord, save us from self-deception.

"And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." John 8:35-36 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me enter the freedom of the Father's sonship.

"I know that you are Abraham's descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you." John 8:37 (NKJV)
Jesus, please let your word find a place in me.

"Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word." John 8:43 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me listen to and receive your word.

Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. Acts 12:5 (NKJV)
Father, bring us to constant prayer for those in bondage.
For Prisoners.
O GOD, who spares when we deserve punishment, and in your wrath remembers mercy; we humbly beseech you, of your goodness, to comfort and succour all prisoners [especially those who are condemned to die]. Give them a right understanding of themselves, and of your promises; that, trusting wholly in your mercy, they may not place their confidence anywhere but in you. Relieve the distressed, protect the innocent, awaken the guilty; and forasmuch as you alone bring light out of darkness, and good out of evil, grant to these your servants, that by the power of your Holy Spirit they may be set free from the chains of sin and death, and may be brought to newness of life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

"Remember the prisoners as if chained with them--those who are mistreated--since you yourselves are in the body also." Hebrews 13:3

But motioning to them with his hand to keep silent, he declared to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, "Go, tell these things to James and to the brethren." And he departed and went to another place. Acts 12:17 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us declare how the Lord has brought us out of bondage.

"Hold your peace with me, and let me speak, Then let come on me what may! Job 13:13 (NKJV)
Help us listen to those who speak in the anguish of their souls.

"Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him." Job 13:15a (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, bring me to this level of trust.

An oracle within my heart concerning the transgression of the wicked: there is no fear of God before his eyes. For he flatters himself in his own eyes, when he finds out his iniquity and when he hates. The words of his mouth are wickedness and deceit; he has ceased to be wise and to do good. he devises wickedness on his bed; he sets himself in a way that is not good; he does not abhor evil. Psalm 36:1-4 (NKJV)
Lord, grant Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton hearts of mercy.

They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. Psalm 36:8 (NKJV)
Help us find our satisfaction in you and drink from your river of life.

I will praise the LORD according to His righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High. Psalm 7:17 (NKJV)
Help me sing your praises, LORD!

Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins." John 8:24 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, give us a heart of compassion for all those who are dying in their sins, and help us be effective witnesses to them.

"And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him." John 8:29 (NKJV)
Father, thank you for always being with Jesus and for being with me as well.

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8:31-32 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me abide in the truth.

When he came and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and encouraged them all that with purpose of heart they should continue with the Lord. Acts 11:23 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us, like Barnabas, recognize your work and encourage people in that work.

Then the disciples, each according to his ability, determined to send relief to the brethren dwelling in Judea. Acts 11:29 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us recognize our spiritual debts and encourage those who brought us to you.

He deprives the trusted ones of speech, and takes away the discernment of the elders. He pours contempt on princes, and disarms the mighty. He uncovers deep things out of darkness, and brings the shadow of death to light. He makes nations great, and destroys them; He enlarges nations, and guides them. He takes away the understanding of the chiefs of the people of the earth, and makes them wander in a pathless wilderness. They grope in the dark without light, and He makes them stagger like a drunken man. Job 12:20-25 (NKJV)
LORD< deal with the candidates and our would-be leaders: give them good sense, wisdom, and humility.

The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You. Psalm 9:9-10 (NKJV)
Jesus, I know your name and that you save us; I put my trust in you.

Arise, O LORD, do not let man prevail; let the nations be judged in Your sight. Put them in fear, O LORD, that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Psalm 9:19-20 (NKJV)
      Yes, Lord!

Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Psalm 73:23-24 (NKJV)
LORD, show us how to vote.

A word received: I will guide you and direct you. Keep listening to me.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:10 (NKJV)
Lord, many are being persecuted around the world for righteousness sake. Help us welcome them and help them enter the kingdom of God..

"Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Matthew 5:11 (NKJV)
Lord, help me turn the other cheek.

Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 5:12 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me find my joy in the hard times that come from following you.

And they sang a new song, saying: "You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth." Revelation 5:9-10 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us sing that new song.

saying with a loud voice: "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!" Revelation 5:12 (NKJV)
Jesus, you are worthy to receive every honor we can give you.

And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: "Blessing and honor and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!" Revelation 5:13 (NKJV)
Jesus, come and sit on the throne of my heart so that I may receive your blessing.

But oh, that God would speak, And open His lips against you, Job 11:5 (NKJV)
Lord, I repent of asking you to speak condemnation over what you have blessed with suffering.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4 (NKJV)

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life." John 8:12 (NKJV)
Jesus, I need your light for my path.

I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me." Then they said to Him, "Where is Your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither Me nor My Father. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also." John 8:18-19 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us know your Father as we get to know you.

And when Peter came up to Jerusalem, those of the circumcision contended with him, saying, "You went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them!" Acts 11:2-3 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me be willing to go to those who are "outsiders".

But the voice answered me again from heaven, 'What God has cleansed you must not call common.' Acts 11:9 (NKJV)
Help me accept all those you have made clean.

Then the Spirit told me to go with them, doubting nothing. Moreover these six brethren accompanied me, and we entered the man's house. Acts 11:12 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me go forward, doubting nothing.

And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them, as upon us at the beginning. Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, 'John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.' Acts 11:15-16 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, fill us and baptize us anew.

If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?" Acts 11:17 (NKJV)
Help us recognize your work, LORD.

"If you would prepare your heart, And stretch out your hands toward Him; If iniquity were in your hand, and you put it far away, And would not let wickedness dwell in your tents; Job 11:13-14 (NKJV)
Lord, keep me from imputing sin where there is none.

O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. Psalm 63:1 (NKJV)
Jesus, I seek you in a dry and thirsty land.

Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100:1-5 (NKJV)

Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, "Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." This is desert. Acts 8:26 (NKJV)
Lord, I am willing to go into the desert places so that I may bear fruit for you.

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink." John 7:37 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me come to Jesus and drink.

"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." John 7:38 (NKJV)
Jesus, let your living water flow out of my heart to others.

Then Peter opened his mouth and said: "In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. Acts 10:34-35 (NKJV)
LORD, help the candidates for office in this election come to grips with your word.

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. Acts 10:38 (NKJV)
Father, anoint us as well to do your will.

And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree. Acts 10:39 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me be a faithful witness of all that you have done and said. Help me be a faithful witness to your cross and resurrection and victory over sin and death.

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. Acts 10:44 (NKJV)
      Holy Spirit, fall on us!

"Truly I know it is so, but how can a man be righteous before God? Job 9:2 (NKJV)
God you are the source of all righteousness.

If He takes away, who can hinder Him? Who can say to Him, 'What are You doing?' Job 9:12 (NKJV)
LORD, help me repent of questioning your motives.

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Psalm 20:7 (NKJV)

Tradition
"Tradition may be defined as an extension of the franchise. Tradition means giving votes to the most obscure of all classes, our ancestors. It is the democracy of the dead. Tradition refuses to submit to the small and arrogant oligarchy of those who merely happen to be walking about. All democrats object to men being disqualified by the accident of birth; tradition objects to their being disqualified by the accident of death. Democracy tells us not to neglect a good man's opinion, even if he is our groom; tradition asks us not to neglect a good man's opinion, even if he is our father. I, at any rate, cannot separate the two ideas of democracy and tradition; it seems evident to me that they are the same idea. We will have the dead at our councils. The ancient Greeks voted by stones; these shall vote by tombstones. It is all quite regular and official, for most tombstones, like most ballot papers, are marked with a cross." Orthodoxy by G. K. Chesterton, Doubleday Image Book, page 48 © 1908, 1936 by Dodd, Mead & Company
Lord, help me learn from past generations.

Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment." John 7:24 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me judge with righteous judgment and not by appearances.

Arise therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them." Acts 10:20 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me go forward at your word, doubting nothng.

Then he said to them, "You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean. Acts 10:28 (NKJV)
Jesus, correct us by your Holy Spirit whenever we have labeled people as "unclean" and refrain from associating with them.

Then Peter opened his mouth and said: "In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him. Acts 10:34-35 (NKJV)
Father, help us repent of showing partiality.

If your sons have sinned against Him, He has cast them away for their transgression. Job 8:4 (NKJV)
Lord, this is an awful supposition. Jesus, your disciples asked of the man born blind, "Who sinned, this man or his parents?" Help us repent of unrighteious judgment.

If you were pure and upright, surely now He would awake for you, and prosper your rightful dwelling place. Job 8:6 (NKJV)
Lord, don't let me be taken in by a "prosperity gospel".

Behold, God will not cast away the blameless, Nor will He uphold the evildoers. Job 8:20 (NKJV)
LORD, you cause your rain to fall on the just and the unjust. Help us leave judgment in your hand.

So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, To walk in their own counsels. "Oh, that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways! Psalm 81:12-13 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me repent of my stubbornness and walking by my own counsels rather than yours.

Father, grant that more may come to Jesus.

From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. John 6:66 (NKJV)
Jesus, so many have turned their backs on you and no longer walk with you.

Now it came to pass, as Peter went through all parts of the country, that he also came down to the saints who dwelt in Lydda. There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden eight years and was paralyzed. And Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus the Christ heals you. Arise and make your bed." As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. John 6:57 (NKJV)
Holy Father, help me daily feed on Jesus and his words.

Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized. So when he had received food, he was strengthened. Then Saul spent some days with the disciples at Damascus. Immediately he preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God. Acts 9:18-20 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, I pray that the scales which blind your people will fall away; that they will spend time together; and begin preaching Jesus.

But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. And he declared to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, and that He had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. Acts 9:27 (NKJV)
Jesus, raise up many Barnabases in our generation who will recognize and bring the newly converted into the fellowship of believers.

"Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. For He bruises, but He binds up; He wounds, but His hands make whole. Job 5:17-18 (NKJV)

Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him." John 6:27 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me labor for enduring food.

Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent." John 6:29 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, keep me steady in Jesus.

Then Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world." John 6:32-33 (NKJV)
Father, help me feast on Jesus.

And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst." John 6:35 (NKJV)
Jesus, Bread of Life, I come to you to receive all that you have for me.

"And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:40 (NKJV)
Jesus, I live in the hope of the resurrection and eternal life with you.

As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?" Acts 9:3-4 (NKJV)
Jesus, let your holy light shine on all who go forth to persecute your church.

But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips. Job 2:10 (NKJV)
Father, please help me accept adversity along with the good times you give me. Help me persevere with the grace you gave Paul (2 Corinthians 11:22-30).

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Psalm 32:1 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for covering over my sin with our blood.

Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit. Psalm 32:2 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, cleanse my spirit of all deceit.

You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7 (NKJV)
LORD, surround me with songs of deliverance.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; Psalm 139:23 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, search my heart and cleanse it.
A word received: Look to Me for help in the dark times.

Then the sea arose because a great wind was blowing. So when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid. But He said to them, "It is I; do not be afraid." John 6:18-20 (NKJV)
Jesus, when there is a rising sea and the winds are blowing, please come to me as you did with your disciples. Help me let go of my fear.

Jesus answered them and said, "Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him." John 6:26-27 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me labor for the food which lasts to eternal life.

Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, "Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." This is desert. Acts 8:26 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us go wherever you direct us.

Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. Acts 8:35 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me open the Scriptures to others.

Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, "See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?" Acts 8:36 (NKJV)
Father, don't let me hinder anyone from coming into the new life with your Son, Jesus.

Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?" Job 1:8 (NKJV)
LORD, help me to be blameless and upright, and fear you and shun all evil.

Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. And he said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD." Job 1:20-21 (NKJV)

Restore us, O God of hosts; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved! Psalm 80:7 (NKJV)
Restore us, O God of hosts; cause your face to shine upon us and we shall be saved.

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1 (NKJV)
LORD, help me give over all my fears to you.

One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple. Psalm 27:4 (NKJV)
LORD, let my home be a dwelling place for your Spirit all the days of my life.

Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the LORD! Psalm 27:14 (NKJV)
Jesus, strengthen my heart and help me wait on you.

A word received: You are in my hand: rest and be content there.

"There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?" Then Jesus said, "Make the people sit down." Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. John 6:9-11 (NKJV)
Jesus, I offer you what I have for your purposes and blessing.

So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, "Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost." John 6:12 (NKJV)
Jesus, gather up the fragments of my life so that nothing is lost.

And when they had preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, "We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God." Acts 14:21-22 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me freely use the gifts you have given me for the benefit of others.

Be angry, and do not sin. meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD. Psalm 4:4-5 (NKJV)
LORD, help me lay aside wrath and anger and put my trust in you.

I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8 (NKJV)
Lord, help me daily lie down and sleep in your peace and protecting arms. Thank you.

"I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me." John 5:30 (NKJV)
Jesus, I can of myself do nothing. Help me to set aside my will and seek the will of my Father in heaven.

"There is another who bears witness of Me, and I know that the witness which He witnesses of Me is true." John 5:32 (NKJV)
Jesus, I ask for more of the witness of your Holy Spirit in my life.

"How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?" John 5:44 (NKJV)
Father, please help me repent of seeking honor from anyone but you.

As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them to prison. Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word. Acts 8:3-4 (NKJV)
Lord, I pray that even while havoc is being made of your church in many lands, that you will cause the gospel to be spread abroad in new places.

Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. Acts 8:14-15 (NKJV)
Father, raise up an apostolic ministry among us so that we all may receive the power of your Holy Spirit.

O LORD my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me. Psalm 30:2 (NKJV)
Thank you, LORD, for all the healing you have brought into my life.

Hear, O LORD, and have mercy on me; LORD, be my helper!" Psalm 30:10 (NKJV)
LORD, be my helper day by day.

Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name. Psalm 86:11 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, teach me and help me walk in your truth and give me an undivided heart. Thank you.

A word received: Walk with me today -- I will guide you so that your foot does not slip.

Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner." John 5:19 (NKJV)
Father, you have adopted me as your child (Romans 8:15), help me do what I see you doing as Jesus did.

Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; Acts 7:57 (NKJV)
Lord, so many in your church have stopped their ears; have mercy on us.

Now Saul was consenting to his death. At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. Acts 8:1 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, bring us to repentance whenever we consent to evil.

In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes. Judges 17:6 (NKJV)
Lord Jesus, few are willing for you to be king of their lives and they do what is right in their own eyes; have mercy on us.

The LORD reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad! Psalm 97:1 (NKJV)
LORD, come and rule and reign in my heart.

Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. Psalm 97:12 (NKJV)
LORD, I rejoice in you and your ways.

Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. Psalm 112:4 (NKJV)
Jesus, you are the light of the world -- let your light shine in my darkness.

When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?" John 5:6 (NKJV)
      Yes, Lord, I do.

Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk." John 5:8 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me arise at Jesus' word.

Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you." John 5:14 (NKJV)
Father, let freedom from sin flow out of my healing.

Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God. John 5:18 (NKJV)
Holy Trinity, One God, continue your work in me.

I have surely seen the oppression of my people who are in Egypt; I have heard their groaning and have come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send you to Egypt." ' Acts 7:34 (NKJV)
LORD, look upon the oppression of your people in Egypt and the Middle East and deliver them.

This is he who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the Angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, the one who received the living oracles to give to us, whom our fathers would not obey, but rejected. And in their hearts they turned back to Egypt, saying to Aaron, 'Make us gods to go before us; as for this Moses who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.' Acts 7:38-40 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, show us where we have turned back to bondage and away from the path you have marked out for us.

Oh, sing to the LORD a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. Psalm 98:1 (NKJV)
Lord, help me join in that new song; for you have done marvelous things.

For He is coming to judge the earth. With righteousness He shall judge the world, And the peoples with equity. Psalm 98:9 (NKJV)
Jesus, come soon with your righteious judgment.

In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul. Psalm 138:3 (NKJV)
Holy Father, please give me your strength in my soul.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands. Psalm 138:7-8 (NKJV)
LORD, I ask you to revive me and perfect your work in me. Thank you.

A word received: Turn your heart to me; let me do in you what you cannot.

Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour. John 4:6 (NKJV)
Jesus, be with all those who are weary from serving you.

Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water." John 4:10 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us know the gift of God and recognize when Jesus speaks to us. Be that living water for us.

The woman said to Him, "Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?" Jesus answered and said to her, "Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." John 4:11-14 (NKJV)
Spring up, O Well, and flood my soul.

"You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews." John 4:22 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us live out our debt to the Jews.

"But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." John 4:23-24 (NKJV)
Father, help us worship you in Spirit and in truth.

Jesus said to her, "I who speak to you am He." John 4:26 (NKJV)
Jesus, reveal yourself to us in the midst of all our sins as you did to the Samaritan woman.

Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. Acts 6:1 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us take to heart the needs of all the widows and orphans in our midst.

Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, "It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word." Acts 6:2-4 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help our leaders keep their primary focus on serving your word and prayer.

And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch, whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them. Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith. Acts 6:5-7 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us set aside men and women to a life of service to your church so that many are brought to conversion.

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. Psalm 1:1-3 (NKJV)
Holy Father, help us give godly cousel to one another so that we all may delight in you and your word, and bear fruit in due season.

He fashions their hearts individually; He considers all their works. Psalm 33:15 (NKJV)
LORD, thank you that you deal with each one of us individually.

A word received: Place your hope and your trust in me.

For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. John 3:20 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me die to myself so that tJesus can grow inme.

For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. John 3:34 (NKJV)
Thank you for your unmeasurable love for us.

saying, "Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man's blood on us!" Acts 5:28 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, guide us as you did with Peter and John when we are forbidden to speak in Jesus' name.

But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: "We ought to obey God rather than men." Acts 5:29 (NKJV)
Father, help us obey you, whatever the cost.

And they agreed with him, and when they had called for the apostles and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. Acts 5:40-41 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us rejoice when we are counted worthy to suffer for your name.

Then Manoah prayed to the LORD, and said, "O my Lord, please let the Man of God whom You sent come to us again and teach us what we shall do for the child who will be born." Judges 13:8 (NKJV)
LORD, sent your witnesses to guide us in raising our children.

For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from heaven the LORD viewed the earth, to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to release those appointed to death, Psalm 102:19-20 (NKJV)
Amen.

"The children of Your servants will continue, and their descendants will be established before You." Psalm 102:28 (NKJV)
LORD, establish my children before you.

A word received: I AM the light for your path.

This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him." John 3:2 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you that we can come to you at any hour of the day or night.

Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." John 3:3 (NKJV)
Jesus, I am still in the birth pangs of being born again into your kingdom.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16 (NKJV)
Father, please help me each day enter into your life of love.

"For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:17 (NKJV)
Father, restrain me from condemning those you do not condemn, but rather desire to save those you desire to save.

"But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God." John 3:21 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me expose all my sin to your light.

"Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life." Acts 5:20 (NKJV)
Holy Father, help me go forth and speak all the words of this new life you offer.

But when the officers came and did not find them in the prison, they returned and reported, saying, "Indeed we found the prison shut securely, and the guards standing outside before the doors; but when we opened them, we found no one inside!" Acts 5:22-23 (NKJV)
Jesus, tombs and prisons cannot confine the new life you offer.

The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh. Psalm 29:8 (NKJV)
Jesus, come into our wildernesses and shake them with your word.

God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods. How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked? Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 82:1-4 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, set us free from unjust judgments and help us defend the poor and needy.

A word received: Let your fellowship be founded and continue in me. I AM all that you have in common.

Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. Mark 4:36 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me take Jesus just "as he is".

But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?" Mark 4:38 (NKJV)
Jesus, so often I have come to you wondering if you care that I am perishing in the storm. Have mercy and forgive me and help me trust you in the storm. Thank you for the many storms you have carried me through.

Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation? 2 Corinthians 11:29 (NKJV)
Father, please give me a heart that burns with indignation when your little ones are made to stumble.

then it will be that whatever comes out of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the people of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD'S, and I will offer it up as a burnt offering." Judges 11:31 (NKJV)
LORD, preserve me from rash vows.

Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles! Laud Him, all you peoples! For His merciful kindness is great toward us, and the truth of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD! Psalm 117:1-2 (NKJV)
LORD, help me rejoice in your trust and praise you for all you done for me.

O LORD, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word on my tongue, but behold, O LORD, You know it altogether. You have hedged me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain it. Psalm 139:1-6 (NKJV)
LORD, you know me through and through and have set a hedge of love about me. Thank you.

If I say, "Surely the darkness shall fall on me," even the night shall be light about me; indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. Psalm 139:11-12 (NKJV)
LORD< help me walk by your light when all else is dark.

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You. Psalm 139:17-18 (NKJV)
Jesus, each morning when I awake, you are there with me. Thank you.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, lead me in the way everlasting.

A word received: I AM your guide and your shelter. Trust me in the storm.

And He said to those who sold doves, "Take these things away! Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise!" Then His disciples remembered that it was written, "Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up." John 2:16-17 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, give us a zeal for your house and help us drive from it all that corrupts it and us.

And He said to those who sold doves, "Take these things away! Do not make My Father's house a house of merchandise!" Then His disciples remembered that it was written, "Zeal for Your house has eaten Me up." John 2:16-17 (NKJV)
Jesus, please do signs and wonders among us so that many may believe in you.

And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. Acts 4:33 (NKJV)
Lord Jesus, we pray for an outpouring of your grace and apostolic power upon us.

And Joseph, who was also named Barnabas by the apostles (which is translated Son of Encouragement), a Levite of the country of Cyprus, Acts 4:36 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us to be "sons of encouragement".

"While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God." Acts 5:4 (NKJV)
Father, help me repent of lying to you.

So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things. Acts 5:11 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us fear to offend you in word or deed.

God sent a spirit of ill will between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech, that the crime done to the seventy sons of Jerubbaal might be settled and their blood be laid on Abimelech their brother, who killed them, and on the men of Shechem, who aided him in the killing of his brothers. Judges 9:23-24 (NKJV)
LORD, with you lies both justice and mercy.

Those who trust in the LORD Are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever. Psalm 125:1-2 (NKJV)
LORD, help me place my trust in you and not in man. Surround me with your loving arms.

A word received: Rest in my arms of love.

Philip found Nathanael and said to him, "We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote--Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph." John 1:45 (NKJV)       Jesus, please help me share what I have found in you with others.

And Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see." John 1:46 (NKJV)       Holy Spirit, help me invite others to "Come and see," what I have found in Jesus.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!" John 1:47 (NKJV)       Holy Spirit, set me free from all guile and deceit.

"If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole." Acts 4:9-10 (NKJV)       Father, help me give the glory to Jesus as Peter did.

"Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12 (NKJV)       Father, help me honor the name of Jesus by word and deed.

But Gideon said to them, "I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you; the LORD shall rule over you." Judges 8:23 (NKJV)       LORD, rule over me.

Then Gideon made it into an ephod and set it up in his city, Ophrah. And all Israel played the harlot with it there. It became a snare to Gideon and to his house. Judges 8:27 (NKJV)       LORD, it is so easy to play the harlot with the things we have made and done; help us repent of this.

So it was, as soon as Gideon was dead, that the children of Israel again played the harlot with the Baals, and made Baal-Berith their god. Thus the children of Israel did not remember the LORD their God, who had delivered them from the hands of all their enemies on every side; nor did they show kindness to the house of Jerubbaal (Gideon) in accordance with the good he had done for Israel. Judges 8:33-35 (NKJV)       Holy Spirit, help me remember what you have done for me and show kindness to those who have blessed me.

Out of the depths I have cried to You, O LORD; Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. Psalm 130:1-2 (NKJV)       LORD, out of the depths and miry clay we call to you for one another; hear our cry and have mercy on us.

I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in His word I do hope. Psalm 130:5 (NKJV)       LORD, I hope in your word and in you; daily redeem me from my sins.

A word received: Wait on me; hope in me. I AM able to do what you cannot.

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for taking away my sin.

"And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God." John 1:34 (NKJV)
Father, thank you for John's testimony. Thank you for his willingness to bear the cost of being faithful in his testimony. Please help me have the same courage.

"Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers. But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord," Acts 3:17-19 (NKJV)
Father, please forgive the things I have done in ignorance and bring me to full conversion.

"To you first, God, having raised up His Servant Jesus, sent Him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities." Acts 3:26 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for turning me away from my sins.

Now the men of Ephraim said to him, "Why have you done this to us by not calling us when you went to fight with the Midianites?" And they reprimanded him sharply. Judges 8:1 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, set us free of jealousy of the deeds of others and show us the task you have for us to do.

Let Your priests be clothed with righteousness, and let Your saints shout for joy. Psalm 132:9 (NKJV)
Jesus, let our priests and clergy be clothed with righteousness and all your people shout for joy at your saving work.

I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread. Psalm 132:15 (NKJV)
LORD, satisfy the poor of this land with bread to eat.

Behold, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, who by night stand in the house of the LORD! Psalm 134:1 (NKJV)
      LORD, I bless you.

A word received: Enter into the blessings I have for you.

How easy it is
for me to live with you, Lord.
How easy it is to believe in you
when my mind reels from not understanding,
or when my mind weakens--
when the most intelligent people cannot think
beyond the evening and do not know
what must be done tomorrow.
You convey to me the
lucid assurance that you exist,
that you will see to it that not all paths
toward good will be closed.
At the peak of earthly renown
I look back with amazement at
that road which by no stretch of the imagination
I could have devised--
A remarkable road through despair
which has led me here
where I too have been able
to send mankind
reflections of your rays--
As for what I
won't have time or ability for--
This means that you have
reserved it for others.

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us behold Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." Acts 3:6 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us recognize and value as Peter did what we are capable of giving your people.

So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them--walking, leaping, and praising God. Acts 3:8 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me praise God as this man did for all that you have done for me.

And the LORD said to Gideon, "The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, 'My own hand has saved me.' Judges 7:2 (NKJV)
So he answered and said to me: "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,' Says the LORD of hosts. Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV) LORD, help me depend on your strength and power and not my own.

How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. Psalm 36:7-9 (NKJV)
Lord, help me daily drink from your river of living water.

A word received: Listen, listen for my word of prompting.
