Jesus, come through every city and village in our area with preaching that brings the glad tidings of the kingdom of God.
and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities--Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance. Luke 8:2-3 (NKJV)
Father, thank you for all those women you have chosen to follow Jesus and minister to him. Raise up more vocations for the Sisters of St. Mary and the Daughters of the King.
"A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold." When He had said these things He cried, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!" Luke 8:5-8 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, prepare the soil of my heart to receive the good seed of your word.
"But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience." Luke 8:15 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me bear good fruit with patience.
"I found Israel Like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers As the firstfruits on the fig tree in its first season. But they went to Baal Peor, And separated themselves to that shame; They became an abomination like the thing they loved. Hosea 9:10 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me recognize when the things I love are abominations and repent of them.
My God will cast them away, Because they did not obey Him; And they shall be wanderers among the nations. Hosea 9:17 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us recognize the cost of going after what you detest.
Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion; And to You the vow shall be performed. Psalm 65:1 (NKJV)
LORD, help me keep my vows.
Iniquities prevail against me; as for our transgressions, You will provide atonement for them. Psalm 65:3 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for providing the atonement for my sins.
Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise Your name; the righteous shall surround me, for You shall deal bountifully with me." Psalm 142:7 (NKJV)
LORD, bring my soul out of prison.
A word received: Cry out to me for my little ones who are being cut down and destroyed.

Prayer Table regular DARCY, whose brother JOSE is gravely ill at the Pathways Rehabilitation Center in Schenectady (where Deacon MaryCarol does a reserved sacrament service twice a month) continues to need our prayers for courage and strength as she takes care of Jose's two teenaged boys. A woman (no name) with a great deal of courage came with a great sinful burden on her heart. We listened at length and prayed with her for about 10 or 15 minutes about her need to seek repentance and ask forgiveness. The Lord knows the details. We believe she went away feeling truly forgiven and that she should go and sin no more.
