2016 11 12
Lord, help me to be faithful in the little things as well as the big.
"No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." Luke 16:13 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, reveal to me where I am double minded and trying to serve another master besides Jesus.
"Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced from her husband commits adultery." Luke 16:18 (NKJV)
Lord, heal the marriages in this land.
My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality. James 2:1 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us hold all those who campaigned in equal respect to bring glory to Jesus.
For if there should come into your assembly a man with gold rings, in fine apparel, and there should also come in a poor man in filthy clothes, and you pay attention to the one wearing the fine clothes and say to him, "You sit here in a good place," and say to the poor man, "You stand there," or, "Sit here at my footstool," have you not shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts? Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and drag you into the courts? James 2:2-6 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help us honor the political decisions of the poor in this land who felt abused and left out by the rich and powerful.
So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. James 2:12-13 (NKJV)
Jesus, I pray that your mercy will triumph over my judgments.
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. Joel 3:14 (NKJV)
Father, help me make the right choices in the day of decision.
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. Psalm 111:10 (NKJV)
LORD, bring us to wisdom and a good understanding.
The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. Psalm 118:14 (NKJV)
Jesus, you are my strength and my song.
Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, and I will praise the LORD. This is the gate of the LORD, through which the righteous shall enter. Psalm 118:19-20 (NKJV)
Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Psalm 24:7 (NKJV)
A word received: I will help you lift up those gates so that I may enter into your soul.
