Jesus, help us recive with joy every child you send us.
And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said, "How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God! For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." And those who heard it said, "Who then can be saved?" But He said, "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God." Luke 18:24-27 (NKJV)
Jesus, we have been blinded by wealth and the outward trappings of success in our country. Help us recognize the danger of desiring wealth instead of you.
Then Peter said, "See, we have left all and followed You." So He said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life." Luke 18:28-30 (NKJV)
Thank you for the blessings we have received in following you, Jesus.
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:9-10 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us recognize and seize the opportunities you give us to do good to others, especially those who are of the household of faith.
I will praise You, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. Psalm 9:1 (NKJV)
Holy Father, help us tell others of all that you have done for us.
Arise, O LORD, do not let man prevail; let the nations be judged in Your sight. Put them in fear, O LORD, that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Psalm 9:19-20 (NKJV)
LORD, help us recognize our condition and turn to you.
Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart. But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; my steps had nearly slipped. For I was envious of the boastful, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. Psalm 73:1-3 (NKJV)
LORD, set me free from envy.
A word received: Look to me when the times are evil and the wicked prosper.
