Holy Spirit, please help me believe Jesus' words to me.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. Romans 1:16 (NKJV)
Jesus, forgive me for the times I have been ashamed to speak up when I had the opportunity to do so.
"For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns--broken cisterns that can hold no water. Jeremiah 2:13 (NKJV)
Father, please help me repent of these two sins.
The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. Psalm 34:7 (NKJV)
LORD, encomp around me and set me free from fear.
The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17 (NKJV)
Father, hear me and deliver me.
A word received: Place your hand in mine; I will lead you.
PRAYER TABLE REPORT -- (St. Ann's of Amsterdam, on the lawn in front of our church on Division Street each Monday, 10 a.m.) -- I am sorry that I have been truant in putting out prayer table reports lately. I've just been involved with a lot of things lately. But please know that we ARE out there every Monday and the people of our neighborhood ARE coming to, usually in great number. The weather has been against us the last few weeks with nasty cold temps and winds, but the people still come for our prayer offerings, free used, clean clothing and free non-perishable food. Deacon Alan, James Bryant and Rebecca Lohmeyer presiding at His table. SOME PRAYER TABLE SCENES -- We have a lot of "regulars" who come every week like clockwork, but we have also noticed lately many people coming for the first time. This is usually because they have heard about us by word of mouth, and sometimes it is because they just arrived in Amsterdam and are not prepared for the cold weather up here. Therefore, your generous donations of all kinds of clothing and shoes and even sheets and towels have been greatly appreciated. ... We have also noticed a growing trend among the people who know us and trust us to take only what they really need and saving the rest for others who are also in need. This is a wonderful sign of Christ working in the midst of want and need as people help each other. PRAYER CONCERNS -- Please pray for ANDREA, who comes every week and is among the first to arrive. Her needs are many and great. (We often have people arrive as early as 9:30 and we let them in the church parish hall to stay warm until we put the clothing and food out. Some have even joined us for Morning Prayer at 9:15.) ... CARMELLA and CECILIA are two women who have been coming to the table in recent weeks. They always head right over for prayer before going for food and clothing. ... A woman (No name) had an unusual prayer request last week. She asked for prayer for her little dog LOKIE, a Chihuahua who is blind. She brought him along. He's 14. (Yes, we certainly DO pray for animals as well as humans!) ... Please keep DARCY in your prayers. She cares for the teenaged sons of her brother JOSE, who is very ill and living at Pathways Rehab in Schenectady -- the home where Deacon MaryCarol celebrates a Protestant service twice each month. ... Finally, THANK YOU for your support of this ministry. Your intercessory prayers and your contributions of food and clothing are much appreciated. In your love and care for our neighbors you are living out the Gospel.
