Holy Spirit, please teach me how to "not be of the world."
I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. John 17:15 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for interceding for me so that I shall be kept from the evil one.
Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. John 17:17 (NKJV)
Father, make me holy by your word of truth.
My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 1 John 2:1 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for being my advocate.
Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining. 1 John 2:8 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me love the brethren.
Oh, sing to the LORD a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. Psalm 98:1 (NKJV)
LORD, gain the victory for us.
A word received: Look to me for rest.
PRAYER TABLE REPORT -- St. Ann's of Amsterdam --(Monday, April 17, 2017, 9:45-10:45 a.m. on the lawn in front of our church on Division Street. James Bryant, Rebecca Lohmeyer and Deacon Alan presiding at His table this fine day.) -- Surprisingly, not as many people out and about today even though the schools are closed for Easter break, the weather was nice, etc. You just never know. --
SCENES -- We gave out all the free, non-perishable food and materials at the table save for a few rolls of paper goods. (The neighbors who did come were mostly our regular visitors who we know are quite in need. We are glad to help them get through the week with enough food. ... Many thanks to recent donations of clean, used (and sometimes new!) clothing, which was gratefully taken by our neighbors. A special thank you to the Santiago family and to Adrian Catucci for their generous donations.
PRAYER CONCERNS -- Please join in praying for CONSUELA, who has already been to the table many times for prayers of healing against a serious illness (God knows the details) and now is worried about upcoming eye surgery next week. ... Two women (no names given) who came for the first time sought prayer and prayer alone (for private concerns) and then each took one of the wooden crosses made by Dennis Adams of North Carolina. Pray with us for them. APPEAL -- We would be grateful for any warmer weather clothing items you could donate. Now that the warmer weather is here (or almost here!) we can use your help. Most of what we have on hand to give out tends to be for the colder months. We will be storing that away now that the Spring/Summer time is here. God bless you and thank you for your contributions and intercessory prayers.
