2017 04 30

So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs." John 21:15 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me love Jesus before all others.

He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Tend My sheep." John 21:16 (NKJV)
Father, help me love Jesus by tending the sheep in his flock.

He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep." John 21:17 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me feed your sheep with your living word.

Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish." John 21:18 (NKJV)
Jesus, I don't know how my life will end, but I leave that in your hands.

This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, "Follow Me." John 21:19 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me choose to follow Jesus wherever he leads.

And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins." 1 Peter 4:8 (NKJV)
Father, bring me to that same fervent love that Jesus has.

As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10 (NKJV)
LORD, help me stop grumbling and become a good steward of your grace.

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever: Psalm 136:1-3 (NKJV)
Thank you, LORD, for enduring merciful goodness to me.

A word received: Come into my courts with thanksgivng in your heart.
