Lord, give Bishop Dan strength to endure and to heal.

Then the Pharisees and some of the scribes came together to Him, having come from Jerusalem. Now when they saw some of His disciples eat bread with defiled, that is, with unwashed hands, they found fault. For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands in a special way, holding the tradition of the elders. Mark 7:1-3 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help us lay aside our customs for the sake of loving others and feeding the hungry.

Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, "Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?" He answered and said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: 'This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.' Mark 7:5-7 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us teach what you teach and not the doctrines of men.

He said to them, "All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. Mark 7:9 (NKJV)
Father, please show us where we are rejecting your commandments so that we keep our traditions.

And He said, "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. Mark 7:20 (NKJV)
Father, I ask forgiveness for all that comes out of my mouth which defiles me.

But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. Acts 16:25 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, give me songs in the night and in all the dark times.

And he brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." Acts 16:30-31 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, by your mighty deeds move the hearts of many to ask this question: "What must I do to be saved?"

Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. Acts 16:32 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me speak your word to others.

Sing aloud to God our strength; make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob. Psalm 81:1 (NKJV)
God, you are my strength which I am weak. Thank you.

"But My people would not heed My voice, and Israel would have none of Me. Psalm 81:11 (NKJV)
Jesus, much of your church has departed from your ways. Help us return to you.

A Word Received: I Am food for your soul.
