2018 02 22

And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. Mark 2:1-2 (NKJV)
Jesus, please preach the word to us and give us hearts to respond.

And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven you." Mark 2:4-5 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us by faith to bring many to Jesus.

I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:6 (NKJV)
Father, help us plant and water so that you may give the increase.

For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:11 (NKJV)
Lord, the church keeps trying to build programs on worldly wisdom and they fail. Unless you build the house, we labor in vain.

And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners who were in the prison; whatever they did there, it was his doing. The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph's authority, because the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, the LORD made it prosper. Genesis 39:22-23 (NKJV)
Father, even in the hard times you bless us. Thank you.

A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed and pours out his complaint before the LORD. Hear my prayer, O LORD, And let my cry come to You. Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble; Incline Your ear to me; In the day that I call, answer me speedily. Psalm 102:1-2 (NKJV)
LORD, thank you for hearing my cry.

To hear the groaning of the prisoner, to release those appointed to death, Psalm 102:20 (NKJV)
For Prisoners adapted from 1928 BCP.
O GOD, who spares when we deserve punishment, and in your wrath remembers mercy; We humbly beseech you, of your goodness, to comfort and succour all prisoners [especially those who are condemned to die]. Give them a right understanding of themselves, and of your promises; that, trusting wholly in your mercy, they may not place their confidence anywhere but in you. Relieve the distressed, protect the innocent, awaken the guilty; and forasmuch as you alone bring light out of darkness, and good out of evil, grant to these your servants, that by the power of your Holy Spirit they may be set free from the chains of sin and death, and may be brought to newness of life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

"Remember the prisoners as if chained with them--those who are mistreated--since you yourselves are in the body also." Hebrews 13:3

The children of Your servants will continue, and their descendants will be established before You." Psalm 102:28 (NKJV)
Jesus, establish my children before you. Thank you.

A Word Received: Look to me for help in the storm.
