2018 03 13

In those days, the multitude being very great and having nothing to eat, Jesus called His disciples to Him and said to them, "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. And if I send them away hungry to their own houses, they will faint on the way; for some of them have come from afar." Mark 8:1-3 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me have your compassion on the multitudes.

Then His disciples answered Him, "How can one satisfy these people with bread here in the wilderness?" He asked them, "How many loaves do you have?" And they said, "Seven." Mark 8:4-5 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us bring all our resources to Jesus for him to use as he desires.

So He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And He took the seven loaves and gave thanks, broke them and gave them to His disciples to set before them; and they set them before the multitude. They also had a few small fish; and having blessed them, He said to set them also before them. So they ate and were filled, and they took up seven large baskets of leftover fragments. Mark 8:6-8 (NKJV)
Father, help us feed the poor and those in need.

Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you. 1 Corinthians 11:2 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us keep the apostolic traditions that have been handed down to us.

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me." In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me." For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us receive and proclaim you in our Eucharists.

I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed. Psalm 34:4-5 (NKJV)
LORD, I seek you. Hear me and deliver me from my fears.

The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. Psalm 34:18 (NKJV)
LORD, be near to the broken hearted.

A Word Received: Look to me when you lose your way; I will guide you back on my path.
