Pray for a move of the Holy Spirit at the Diocesan Convention June 8-10 and the General Convention of the Episcopal Church July 5-13 in Austin, Texas.
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. John 14:1 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help me give Jesus the troubles of my heart.
In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:2-3 (NKJV)
[The word "mansion" originally referred to a rest stop along a Roman road, much like rest stops along the Interstate highways.] Jesus, thank you for the times and places of rest you provide for me.
And where I go you know, and the way you know." Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:4-6 (NKJV)
Jesus, you are my way, my truth, my life.
"If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him." John 14:7 (NKJV)
Father, I want to know you more. Fill me with your Spirit of adoption.
Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To the pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied. 1 Peter 1:1-2 (NKJV)
Holy Trinity, One God, help us on our pilgrimage with your grace.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 1 Peter 1:3-4 (NKJV)
Father, thank you for the living hope from you that will endure.
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 1 Peter 1:13 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me strengthen my mind to do your will.
So the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. Thus Israel saw the great work which the LORD had done in Egypt; so the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD and His servant Moses. Exodus 14:30-31 (NKJV)
LORD, when we see your great works, help us fear you and believe your servants.
Blessed be the LORD, Who has not given us as prey to their teeth. Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; The snare is broken, and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. Psalm 124:6-8 (NKJV)
Thank you, LORD, for rescuing me over and over again.
A Word Received: Look to me when you are troubled; I will send the Helper.
