2018 04 13

Please pray for Bishop Dan Herzog who will be having major surgery on Tuesday, April 17

Pray for a move of the Holy Spirit at the Diocesan Convention June 8-10 and the General Convention of the Episcopal Church July 5-13 in Austin, Texas.

"These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble. They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me. But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you. John 16:1-4 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help me endure through persecution.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. John 16:7 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, Helper, please come upon us.

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. John 16:13 (NKJV)
Spirit of truth, guide me into truth.

And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. "And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled." But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 1 Peter 3:13-15 (NKJV)
Father, please help me receive this in my heart.

In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul. Psalm 138:3 (NKJV)
LORD, thank you for answering me when I cried out to you.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. Psalm 138:7 (NKJV)
LORD, we walk in the midst of trouble, please revive us.

The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; do not forsake the works of Your hands. Psalm 138:8 (NKJV)
LORD, complete your work in my life.

A Word Received: Look to me for daily bread.
