2018 05 25

Please pray for vocations to the Sisters of St. Mary, the Daughters of the King, the healing ministry, and the Franciscan Community of the Holy Cross.

But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him: how he entered the house of God and ate the showbread which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests? Matthew 12:3-4 (NKJV)
Jesus, open up ministry by the laity. Help lay people realize you don't have to be ordained to minister your grace.

Now when He had departed from there, He went into their synagogue. And behold, there was a man who had a withered hand. And they asked Him, saying, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?"--that they might accuse Him. Matthew 12:9-10 (NKJV)
Lord, so much of your church is withered; help us stretch out our hands to you.

Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you; but I will teach you the good and the right way. 1 Samuel 12:23 (NKJV)
Father, restore a life of intercessory prayer to the church.

I rejoiced greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, as we received commandment from the Father. 2 John 1:4 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us bring joy to the apostles by walking in truth.

This is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it. 2 John 1:6 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help my walk with you be one of love.

For wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her. Proverbs 8:11 (NKJV)
     Father, help me seek wisdom.

My fruit is better than gold, yes, than fine gold, And my revenue than choice silver. Proverbs 8:19 (NKJV)
Holy Father, help us bear the fruit of your Spirit.

Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. Psalm 51:2 (NKJV)
Jesus, let your living water wash through me and cleanse me.

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Psalm 51:10 (NKJV)
     Yes, LORD.

Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Psalm 51:12 (NKJV)
     Hold me up, LORD.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart -- these, O God, You will not despise. Psalm 51:17 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for being broken for me and for breaking into my life.

A Word Received: You are in my care; give me your fears; let me hold you up.
