"Thou hast made us for thyself, O Lord, and our heart is restless until it finds its rest in thee." St. Augustine

Pray for a move of the Holy Spirit at the General Convention of the Episcopal Church July 5-13 in Austin, Texas.

Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. Matthew 21:12 (NKJV)
Jesus, drive from our churches all money making activities that impede our worship of you.

And He said to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves.' " Matthew 21:13 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, fill our churches with praise and prayer where everyone is welcomed in.

For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Romans 6:14 (NKJV)
Father, keep sin from having dominion over me.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for your great gift to me.

Therefore please come at once, curse this people for me, for they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall be able to defeat them and drive them out of the land, for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed." Numbers 22:6 (NKJV)
Father, please help us take seriously the power of our blessing and cursing. Help us bless even our enemies.

And God came to Balaam at night and said to him, "If the men come to call you, rise and go with them; but only the word which I speak to you--that you shall do." Numbers 22:20 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help me speak only the word you give me.

Then they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe His word, but complained in their tents, and did not heed the voice of the LORD. Psalm 106:24-25 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us repent of despising your good gifts. Help us heed your voice.

Many times He delivered them; but they rebelled in their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity. Psalm 106:43 (NKJV)
LORD, we have been brought low by our rebellion and iniquity.

A Word Received: Look to me for my goodness when times are evil.
