A litany for the protection of our diocese from Psalm 64:1-5,10
Hear our voice, O God, in our meditation;
     Hear our voice, O God.
Preserve our lives from fear of the enemy.
     Hear our voice, O God.
Hide us from the secret plots of the wicked,
     Hear our voice, O God.
From the rebellion of the workers of iniquity,
     Hear our voice, O God.
Hide us from those who sharpen their tongue like a sword,
     Hear our voice, O God.
From those who bend their bows to shoot their arrows--bitter words,
     Hear our voice, O God.
Hide us from those who shoot in secret at the blameless;
     Hear our voice, O God.
From those who suddenly shoot at us and do not fear.
     Hear our voice, O God.
Hide us from those who encourage themselves in an evil matter;
     Hear our voice, O God.
From those who talk of laying snares secretly;
     Hear our voice, O God.
Hide us from those who say, "Who will see us?"
     Hear our voice, O God.
The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and trust in Him.
     We are glad in and trust in you, O LORD.
And all the upright in heart shall glory.
     Glory to you, O LORD.

And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. Matthew 26:37 (NKJV)
     Jesus, please help me enter into your sorrows.

Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me." Matthew 26:38 (NKJV)
     Holy Spirit, please help us watch in prayer with Jesus.

He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will." Matthew 26:39 (NKJV)
     Father, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Then He came to the disciples and found them asleep, and said to Peter, "What? Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." Matthew 26:40-41 (NKJV)
     Holy Spirit, wake up your church to a life of prayer with Jesus.

Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done." Matthew 26:42 (NKJV)
     Father, help us with the bitter, hard cups of life.

And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. Romans 13:11 (NKJV)
     Lord, awaken your church.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Romans 13:12 (NKJV)
     Help us cast off the works of darkness, Lord.

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. Romans 13:14 (NKJV)
     Help me, Jesus, to stop making provision for the flesh.

The LORD reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad! Psalm 97:1 (NKJV)
     Jesus, come rule and reign in our hearts so that we may rejoice in you.

A Word Received: Come to me; I Am waiting for you.
