O holy Child of Bethlehem
Descend to me, I pray
Cast out my sin and enter in
Be born to me today
I hear the Christmas angels
The great glad tidings tell
O come to me, abide with me
My Lord Emmanuel.

Adapted from the last verse of "O Little Town of Bethlehem" by Phillips Brooks

But now I am going to Jerusalem to minister to the saints. For it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem. It pleased them indeed, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister to them in material things. Romans 15:25-27 (NKJV)
Father, please help us recognize our spiritual debt to the Jews.

Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen. Romans 15:33 (NKJV)
God of peace, please be with us.

You have seen all that the LORD your God has done to all these nations because of you, for the LORD your God is He who has fought for you. Joshua 23:3 (NKJV)
LORD, thank you for all that you have done for us.

One man of you shall chase a thousand, for the LORD your God is He who fights for you, as He promised you. Therefore take careful heed to yourselves, that you love the LORD your God. Joshua 23:10-11 (NKJV)
LORD, fight for us in this diocese.

Praise the LORD! I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation. Psalm 111:1 (NKJV)
LORD, please help me praise you with an undivided heart.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. Psalm 111:10 (NKJV)
LORD, bring us to enduring wisdom.

The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation. Psalm 118:14 (NKJV)
     Thank you, LORD.

I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD. Psalm 118:17 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me declare your works. Thank you for the coming of your Holy Spirit upon us.

A Word Received: Come to me with open arms and open hearts so that I may fill you up to overflowing.
