2018 07 31

Please pray for vocations to the Sisters of St. Mary, the Daughters of the King, the healing ministry, and the Franciscan Community of the Holy Cross.

Now as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name. Him they compelled to bear His cross. Matthew 27:32 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help me bear whatever crosses for Jesus you ask of me.

And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS. Matthew 27:37 (NKJV)
Jesus, please be my king day by day.

He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, 'I am the Son of God.' " Matthew 27:43 (NKJV)
Jesus, when the hard times come, help me trust in you.

Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. Romans 16:17-18 (NKJV)
Father, please help us receive this wisdom in this diocese.

For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. Romans 16:19 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit of Wisdom, help me to be wise to what is good and simple concerning evil.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Romans 16:24 (NKJV)
God of glory let your grace be with me.

When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the LORD nor the work which He had done for Israel. Judges 2:10 (NKJV)
LORD, we live in a generation that does not know you or your works. Have mercy on us.

Yet they would not listen to their judges, but they played the harlot with other gods, and bowed down to them. They turned quickly from the way in which their fathers walked, in obeying the commandments of the LORD; they did not do so. Judges 2:17 (NKJV)
Jesus, your church is playing the harlot with false gods; have mercy on us.

To You I will cry, O LORD my Rock: Do not be silent to me, Lest, if You are silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit. Psalm 28:1 (NKJV)
O LORD, hear my cry to you.

Blessed be the LORD, because He has heard the voice of my supplications! The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him. Psalm 28:6-7 (NKJV)
Bless you, LORD; I will trust in you.

The LORD is their strength, and He is the saving refuge of His anointed. Psalm 28:8 (NKJV)
Jesus, you are my strength and my saving refuge. Thank you.

A Word Received: Walk with me; I will guide your steps.
