2018 08 07

Please pray for vocations to the Sisters of St. Mary, the Daughters of the King, the healing ministry, the Franciscan Community of the Holy Cross, the Beaver Cross Staff, and the Diocesan staff.

John answered them, saying, "I baptize with water, but there stands One among you whom you do not know. It is He who, coming after me, is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to loose." These things were done in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing. John 1:26-28 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us know Jesus.

Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you; but I will teach you the good and the right way. 1 Samuel 12:23 (NKJV)
LORD, raise up many with a vocation to pray for others.

And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, "Look at us." So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them--walking, leaping, and praising God. Acts 3:2-8 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us recognize the opportunities you give us to minister.

And the LORD said to Gideon, "The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, 'My own hand has saved me.' Judges 7:2 (NKJV)
LORD, bring us to that place where we only depend on you.

Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; O LORD, You preserve man and beast. Psalm 36:5-6 (NKJV)
Jesus, help me enter into the life of your faithfulness and righteousness day by day. Thank you.

A Word Received: I have called you to a life of prayer. Answer my call day by day.
