There is an important meeting of the clergy of the diocese with Bishop Bill on Thursday, September 6th. Please pray about committing yourself to prayer and fasting for this meeting from 9 am to 4 pm on Wednesdays leading up to this meeting. Thank you.
And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, "Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands! Mark 6:2 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help us by your Holy Spirit to come to really know you and walk with you.
But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house." Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them. And He marveled because of their unbelief. Mark 6:4-6a (NKJV)
Jesus, the lack of belief among so many of your people is hindering your ministry. Have mercy on us and revive us by your Holy Spirit.
Then He went about the villages in a circuit, teaching. Mark 6:6b (NKJV)
Jesus, please come and minister and teach in our community.
Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne. Revelation 4:2 (NKJV)
Father, help us be in the Spirit and behold the glory of Jesus.
The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!" Revelation 4:8 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help me join in this heavenly chorus.
Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice: "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!" Revelation 5:11-12 (NKJV)
Lord, you are worthy to receive honor; help me truly honor you.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 (NKJV)
LORD, I fly to you for refuge; help me in this present time.
Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Psalm 46:2 (NKJV)
Jesus, I lay aside my fears and trust in you.
There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. Psalm 46:4 (NKJV)
Let your river wash me clean, Jesus.
The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Psalm 46:11 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for being with me in this time.
A Word Received: Come to me; I will not turn you away.
