2018 11 02

Then one from the crowd said to Him, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me." But He said to him, "Man, who made Me a judge or an arbitrator over you?" And He said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses." Luke 12:13-15 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, set me free from covetousness.

But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?' So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God." Luke 12:20-21 (NKJV)
Jesus, when the day comes that my life is demanded of me, I pray that I will be found wise and not a fool.

All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:8 (NKJV)
Jesus, please write my name in your Book of Life.

I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. Psalm 40:1 (NKJV)
LORD, thank you for hearing my cry.

He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. Psalm 40:2 (NKJV)
Jesus, pull us out of the miry clay of sin.

He has put a new song in my mouth -- praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the LORD. Psalm 40:3 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, write you new song on my heart.

A Word Received: Seek me and find your joy in me.
