2019 01 21

Please pray for Bishop Bill, the Standing Committee, and the clergy and laity of this diocese as we cope with the decisions of the Episcopal General Convention and the Presiding Bishop.

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, Ephesians 4:1-2 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us bear with one another in love.

endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:3 (NKJV)
Enable us, Lord, to keep the bond of peace in this diocese.

There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; Ephesians 4:4 (NKJV)
Father, please help us answer the hope of our calling.

one Lord, one faith, one baptism; Ephesians 4:5 (NKJV)
Jesus, bring us into unity of faith and baptize us afresh with your Holy Spirit.

one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:6 (NKJV)
Father, reveal yourself to your children.

that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, Ephesians 4:14 (NKJV)
LORD, we are being tossed to and fro by the trickery of men.

but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head--Christ-- Ephesians 4:15 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help our preachers, teachers, and people speak the truth in love.

from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4:16 (NKJV)
Jesus, please knit us together in faith and practice in this diocese.

He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain; He brings the wind out of His treasuries. Psalm 135:7 (NKJV)
Father, I pray for the fresh wind of your Holy Spirit to blow among us.

A Word Received: Wait for my word of guidance.
