2019 03 01

May the Name of Jesus, the Son of God, who is mightier than all the hosts of Satan, and more glorious than all the angels of heaven, abide with us in our going out and our coming in; by day and by night; at morning and at evening; at all times and in all places.
May the Name of Jesus, the Son of God, protect and deliver us from the wrath of evil persons; from the assaults of evil spirits; from foes invisible; from the snares of the Evil One; and from all low passions that beguile the soul and body.
May the Name of Jesus protect and deliver us.
And the blessing of God Almighty, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit be with us this day and always. Amen.
(Blessing adapted from the Anglican Christian community in Ceylon, Pakistan, and India:)

Holy Spirit, prepare our hearts to receive your blessing and presence in our lives.

"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.' But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. ... But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, Matthew 5:38,39...44 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, renew the politics of this nation with Jesus' words.

Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away. Matthew 5:42 (NKJV)
Jesus, show us to whom and how to give.

that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:45-48 (NKJV)
Father, bring us to perfection and maturity in you.

A Word Received: Pray for the renewal of my people and this nation.
