2019 03 22

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:8-9 (NKJV)
ALMIGHTY and most merciful Father; We have erred, and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against thy holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; And we have done those things which we ought not to have done; And there is no health in us. But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare thou those, O God, who confess their faults. Restore thou those who are penitent; According to thy promises declared unto mankind In Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake; That we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life, To the glory of thy holy Name. Amen.

To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death,
To guide our feet into the way of peace.
Luke 1:79 (NKJV)
Lord, give light to them that sit in darkness.
Guide our feet into the way of peace

CITY MISSION PRAYER TABLE, Torre Bissell and Chuck Rinaldo, March 21, 2019
+ received cross
P – 199 Promises
Dan – The truck transmission needed repairs. A man is helping him with repairs and he is helping him to get an apartment. Another man at the transmission repair place had parts to fix it which was a blessing since it is not readily available except by special order. We pray that all proceeds in God's plan and timing.
Theresa – The original date for shoulder surgery was canceled and now awaiting for it to be rescheduled. We pray for it to be scheduled in Gods' timing and for release from pain.
+Brandon – He ran into a friend, Lee Ann, who has relapsed and Brandon asked for prayer for her. We pray that Jesus renew her and cleanse her from the dependency of substance.
Jordan – We give thanks to the Lord for Jordan's gift of being a joy to those who enter the doors of the Mission, and his way of bringing joy, encouragement and enthusiasm to the volunteers. We continue to pray and thank God for Jordan's strength and example. Lord, fill him with living waters.
Thomas – Nicole, his mom, is going to have back surgery and is currently experiencing severe pain. We pray for relief of pain and restoration of her back with good results from the surgery and quick healing. We also pray that Thomas can minister to his mom before and after the surgery to encourage her and show her his love for her.
Jamie asked for prayer for the Lord to help him not to stray, to stay strong, and to do what is right. We pray Psalm 119:105, that he take that step each day, one step at a time and not get ahead of God's plan for his life.
+P - Barry has a bad foot which was operated on about a year ago and is still healing and painful to walk on. We pray for God's miraculous healing so he will be pain free. He just recently lost his father, and we claim God as his heavenly Father so he can call ABBA (Dad) for help with his needs. He also asked for prayer to find favor in the eyes of potential employers so he can have a job.
+ Roland (a young boy about 9) asked for prayer for his sister Jenna who is 13. He is concerned because she is stealing and he doesn't want her to go to jail. We pray that Jenna will repent.
+ Katy asked for prayer for a friend who is making wrong decisions. We pray for God's intervention to correct and redirect him, and that he will repent.
+ Connie asked for prayer for her roommate Bryan who has relapsed into drugs and alcohol abuse. We pray for God's intervention and release from those addictions. Connie also asked for prayer for a 16 year old girl, Christina, who is in an abusive home situation, and is afraid to leave because she doesn't want to leave her mother behind. We pray for God's protection on Christina and for God's wisdom to lead her and her mother to a safe place.
++P– Korey/Janel – This couple is being evicted from their apartment. Korey is presently unemployed and Janel is expecting. Korey came to the prayer table to ask God to help him stay strong, not to fall back into selling drugs and drug usage. He is tempted to do that to get money and to escape his problems. We pray for God's intervention and provision, and for steadfast hope in God to help. They rededicated their lives to Jesus.
Ed asked prayer for God's help. We pray that God strengthen him to become the man of God that He has planned for him to be.
Donna asked for prayer for her medications to arrive in time. She is worried since she hasn't heard from her psychologist, and she only has enough medication to last her until Monday. We pray against her anxiety and for God's provision.
We also ask for prayer for her father's state of mind and for relief of pain. He is scheduled for a hip replacement and is fearful. We pray that God's peace and assurance fill him.
Donna also asked for prayer to find a safe place to live, for finances to cover her studies, for successful completion of the course, for mental health protection, for freedom of her dependency on nicotine gum, and finally for her future in finding a Godly husband and future family. We do lift all these up to the Lord.
Gayle asked for prayer for her son who lives in a shelter in NYC. She has not heard from him since Valentine's Day. She has called his phone but he doesn't respond. We pray God's protection over him and for Jesus to lay on his heart the need to contact his family.
Gayle also thanked the prayer warrior's for praying for her need to find a new apartment. She said she felt the comfort of those prayers and is confident that God will provide.
+ Beth came to the prayer table because of leg pain. We pray God's healing touch to relieve her pain and restore her circulation so she can walk without discomfort.
+ Tiffany came to the prayer table to ask for God's help. She just arrived in the area and needs a place to live. We pray for her safety and for God's provision.
Bruce – We give thanks for the program he directs to mentor the High School kids and we pray for its continued success.
