2019 04 10

Father, please put on all of us the shoes of the preparation to share the gospel of peace; gird our loins with your truth; put on us the breastplate of righteousness, the helmet of salvation, put on our arm the shield of faith with which to quench every fiery dart of the evil one; and place in our hand the sword of your Spirit which is your word; that having stood all, we might yet stand. Finally, help us to be strong in Jesus and in the power of his might, and cast off from us the chains of apathy that keep us from speaking boldly as we ought to speak. Thank you. (See Ephesians 6:10-20)

To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. John 10:3 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me hear your voice daily. Thank you for knowing me.

Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers. John 10:5 (NKJV)
Lord, many strangers have entered the sheepfold – protect your lambs.

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. John 10:11 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for giving your life for me.

Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father. John 10:17-18 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for laying your life down for me. Raise me up to be with you on that last day.

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!" Romans 10:14-15 (NKJV)
Father, send many among us to preach the gospel.

Let my cry come before You, O LORD; give me understanding according to Your word. Psalm 119:169 (NKJV)
Father, please give me understanding by your Holy Spirit and your word.

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant, for I do not forget Your commandments. Psalm 119:176 (NKJV)
Jesus, when I go astray, bring me back to your fold.

A Word Received: Look to me for help in the storm.
