2019 08 30

Please continue to pray for our daughter Sarah. She cannot be released from the hospital in Manila until her blood platelets come up - hopefully in 2 or 3 days. Alex is home and will probably be back in school on Monday.

Then Jesus said to them, "All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: 'I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.' Mark 14:27 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for your willingness to be that shepherd.

And He took Peter, James, and John with Him, and He began to be troubled and deeply distressed. Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch." Mark 14:33-34 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us join in prayer with Jesus.

Then He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour? Mark 14:37 (NKJV)
Lord, your church is sleeping; wake it up by your Holy Spirit.

Now when they had escaped, they then found out that the island was called Malta. Acts 28:1 (NKJV)
Out of the depths I have cried to You, O LORD; Psalm 130:1

In that region there was an estate of the leading citizen of the island, whose name was Publius, who received us and entertained us courteously for three days. Acts 28:7 (NKJV)
Jesus, let our homes be havens of peace and blessing for all who enter there.

And from there, when the brethren heard about us, they came to meet us as far as Appii Forum and Three Inns. When Paul saw them, he thanked God and took courage. Acts 28:15 (NKJV)
Father, thank you for the fellowship which encourages us.

O LORD, God of my salvation, I have cried out day and night before You. Let my prayer come before You; incline Your ear to my cry. Psalm 88:1-2 (NKJV)
LORD, hear the cries and prayers of your people.

A Word Received: Turn to me for the comfort you seek.
