Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 1 Corinthians 1:20-25 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help me seek after you and your wisdom.

And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 1 Corinthians 2:1-2 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me leave aside all clever arguments and wisdom and know only Jesus Christ and him crucified.

I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 1 Corinthians 2:3 (NKJV)
Father, your strength is made perfect in my weakness.

And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 (NKJV)
LORD, help me live and move in the power of your Holy Spirit.

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:2-5 (N     KJV)
Holy Spirit, help me count it all joy the present trials your church is going through. Father, thank you for giving me wisdom without reproach.

So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; James 1:19 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help me restrain myself.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. James 1:22 (NKJV)
Help me be a doer of your word.

A Prayer Received: Lord, give me your wisdom.
