2019 09 15

If we let Him alone like this, everyone will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and nation." John 11:48 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, set us free from obsession about place and position.

And they agreed with him, and when they had called for the apostles and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. Acts 5:40-41 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for those who willingly suffer for the sake of your name.

Then He said, "Go out, and stand on the mountain before the LORD." And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" 1 Kings 19:11-13 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us hear and obey your “still small voice”.

Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him." 1 Kings 19:18 (NKJV)
Father, help us remember that we are not alone.

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them Your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is great reward. Psalm 19:7-11 (NKJV)
Teach me by your word, Lord. Convert my soul.

Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. Psalm 19:12 (NKJV)
Cleans me from my secret faults, Lord.

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, give me words of your wisdom to speak.

A Word Received: Come to me; let me prevail in your heart.
