2019 10 17

"Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to 'set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law'; and 'a man's enemies will be those of his own household.' Matthew 10:34-36 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, please help us accept the cost of choosing to follow you.

He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. Matthew 10:37-38 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help us follow and love you more than anyone else.

He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 10:39 (NKJV)
Father, thank you for helping me find new life in Jesus.

And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward." Matthew 10:42 (NKJV)
Jesus, help us serve your little ones – the lost and the least.

Your mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; O LORD, You preserve man and beast. Psalm 36:5-6 (NKJV)
LORD, in your faithfulness preserve Bishop Bill and this diocese.

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. AND SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help us place our hope in the power of the gospel to overcome sin and death.

A Word Received: Keep placing your hope and your trust in me. I Am able to do what you cannot.
