2019 10 23

Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. 1 Corinthians 12:27 (NKJV)
Holy Spirit, help each of us assume our personal responsibility as members of the body of Christ.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1 (NKJV)
Lord, there is much sounding brass in the church today. Let our love be expressed in deeds which build up the body.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 1 Corinthians 13:11 (NKJV)
Father, childish understanding demands that it have its own way. Help us give and receive in love.

But if you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless. Matthew 12:7 (NKJV)
Jesus, please help us desire mercy for one another as well.

So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory." 1 Corinthians 15:54 (NKJV)
Father, thank you for the victory we have seen in those who have gone before us.

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57 (NKJV)
Jesus, thank you for the victory you are working out in our lives.

Your prophets have seen for you false and deceptive visions; they have not uncovered your iniquity, to bring back your captives, but have envisioned for you false prophecies and delusions. Lamentations 2:14 (NKJV)
LORD, there are many false prophets in your church today; have mercy on us and guide us by your word.

You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it; the river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, for so You have prepared it. Psalm 65:9 (NKJV)
O God, let your river of life flow through us.

A Word Received: Come to me; I Am waiting for my people to return to me.
